The official announcement for Blizzcon 2009 went out today. It will take place August 21st and 22nd this year, and, as always, will be located at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.
No word yet on ticket pricing or availability, but it's worth noting that they've increased the size of the convention this year (taking up four convention halls as opposed to last year's three). More space means more tickets, so hopefully there will be a bit less of a rush this year.
More information should be available at the Official Blizzcon Site shortly.

Well, here's my issue.
I really want to go, however the flight, hotel and the con alone add up to quite a bit of $$. But... Aug 22nd is my birthday. Maybe my wife and I will force ourselves to go away over that weekend.

Orange county is just a stone throw away from the beach, and august weather is amazingly wonderful (read: hot) for beach fun. I live and work near Anaheim, so if I can get tickets and convince the G/F, I'll look forward to seeing you guys there.
Anaheim shouldn't be too bad at all, even in August... I am actually right near the Convention Center... maybe I'll go this year.
If you are used to 72 degree summer days, then SoCal is going to feel warm, but even when its 85 its not muggy, unlike 85 in Florida or Georgia.

Heh, I might actually be able to go, I start college soon around that time and might drive down to college, I can probably sleep in my car.
Considering it would cost me around $3500AU (~$2,240 USD) it would have to be damn worth it!

But seriously, I am thinking about this. It's about my bonus time, and unless the announce a WWI in the UK this year(which I highly doubt) this may be the last time I get to spend so much money frivolously before responsibilty kicks in.
Lol on a South Park refrence and during the 1 liner contest i would totaly where a P*****ns T-shirt. Im gonna bug my neighbor John(3D Designer) to get like mabye 15 tickets reserved for people planning on attending, they did sell out in just under 15 minutes last year. Letting you all know I live in Orange County just to rub it in.
P.S. Cider it isnt as bad in Orange county during the summer as San Diego
