Am i on the right track ?

Hi all

I was wondering if the tankspot community would be able to help me with my tanking aspiration's. i have read most of this site especially the gear section and wondered if i'm heading in the right direction.

Basically i hit 70 just after WotLK hit and changed to prot when then free respec was given. I think i have my rotation going pretty well and am aiming to do the available 10mans with my current guild as that is what we have enough players for at the minute, after we are geared up sufficiantly.

i hope to hit 80 sometime today or tommorrow and am working on my rep with wyrmrest faction and the argent crusade.

I already have the Cloak of Peaceful Resolutions - Item - World of Warcraft and my professions are mining so i nearly have all the materials to make Tempered Titansteel Helm - Item - World of Warcraft & Tempered Titansteel Treads - Item - World of Warcraft aswell as the Titansteel Shield Wall - Item - World of Warcraft, To start me off. I also have the Icebane set ready made.

Now my plan is to run through several heroics to help gear me and my guildies up starting with Utgarde pinaccle, the occulas, and Violet hold.

Does this sound like i am on the right track ?

I have a enchanter in my guild who will be putting me defence on my chest and shield and cloak to start with and stam on my bracers are these correct ?

Any help is greatly appreciated

your on the right track indeed and you got some good ideas, however do not forget that you want argent crusade rep for the defensive head glyph, sons of hordir for the shoulder defensive glyph and if you really wana go titansteel theres a pair of shoes that will do you good as well as the seal of pantheon if you need more defense

yep. spot on.

Make sure you identify what enchants you need and find a good enchanter. greens you get from quests ..just de them and us the cosmics and dusts.

prioritise DEF first ..540.

then work on your STAM...aim for about 25k to start with.

then look at your EXPERTISE..aim for 26.

Stats will change with loot obviously but be prepared for the unexpected. Most of us found that when epics started dropping so did the amount of DEF. so you need the enchants and gems to make up for it.

Look at which instances will provide the best upgrades... UP, UK, AN and CoS for starts.
