Did Fireproven Gauntlets get buffed?

Fireproven Gauntlets - Item - World of Warcraft

Did the tack some Str and Sta onto these? I thought they were more comparable to the Refined Ore Gloves. Now they're on par with the Horn-Tipped Gauntlets.

If they did get buffed, what other items were affected?

They got +10 STR, +12 STA, +6 Def R, +5 Dodge R at some point... can't remember when, though.

Where any other items affected? Well, any other Tanking items. I don't care if dps stuff got altered.

Umm...how do they compare to horn tipped? Unless you are desperately low on dodge, most tanks will always take expertise over dodge, especially when its a ton of it.

I think horntipped have -2 stam, slightly different strength and exp instead of dodge. I'd much rather have the exp as well, but until they drop, I might grab the fireproven. I didn't mess around with Kirin Tor rep before because the Fireproven weren't any better than the blue gloves that drop of the water guy in VH or the Refined Ore Gloves. Now, that's not the case.

They compare to the Horn-Tipped for me because I don't want to farm Gundrak H.

I already farm UP H for the Red Sword and CoS H for the shield (and occasionally VH H for Lavanthor's trinket), and I don't like to do heroic instances back-to-back.
