TankPoints is a good tool to use to evaluate some items, but don't base any decisions solely on it. The Living Iron Waistguard is much better in my opinion, despite what TankPoints says.
Hi,
Can someone check if last version of Tankpoints addon gives correct comparison?
For example: Skadi's Iron Belt is better then Waistguard of Living Iron by Tankspoints.
Any of items that have block value are getting huge tankpoints increase.
Is it right?

I have been noticing the same thing. Tankpoints seem to weigh block value much greater than I would expect, basically ruining its usefulness as a comparative tool.
It used to be very useful for making an uncrushable set. I am still using it to make a "unhittable" set for farming old content.
I'm the author so let me try to explain, if you are unsure how TankPoints works, check out this thread first, where I made a brief introduction on TankPoints math.
To the point, by default TankPoints uses mob damage values tuned to 80 Heroics, assuming a mob hits for 10505 before mitigation, then block value is just that good in heroics, if you trust the math.
Now, if you are tanking 25man Malygos for example, this default would be wrong, a mob damage value of 25000(before mitigation) would be more in line. TankPoints is very cusomizable, if you just type "/tp mob damage 25000" in game you'll see the values of what you expect in a 25 man raid environment. You should also change this value when tier8, tier9 raids goes live.
All this is documented in "About TankPoints 2.0.txt" in the addon folder.
Ideally, one should only be using TankPoints if one understands and agrees with my math there.

I, for one, appreciate your work Whitetooth. And, while I do not accept your numbers as gospel without checking them, I find it does give me a quick 'down and dirty' comparison number between 2 item. If the tank numbers are within 1000 - 1500 points or so of each other, then I'll manually compare the items and see which is better for me. 5,000 points different? Pffffttttt... don't waste my time, I'll pass. Saves me alot of time. Havent' always agreed with the math, but 3 times out of 4 I do!
Thanks for the clarification!
Thanks for the Tip, I've basically used tank points anytime the gear didnt have block value and ignored it for anything that did. I'll use the adjustment asap.
