I got home and immediately turned around to check 7-11 when you posted this. Nope, not in Tacoma, Washington that I saw.

7/11 got in trouble for selling gears of war 2 early just last week, I beleive there is a lawsuit pending for that already.

I don't think it would even be playable yet anyways, even if you did get it early.

The problem is not so much with 7/11's policies, it's with 7/11's employees not having any idea how street dates work.

So that's why, in the face of a lawsuit, they keep "releasing" games early.

That's 7-11's responsibility to train their employees with proper knowledge involving this. This wasn't the case and it seems twice now. Blizzard's not gonna stand for that, especially for a release of an expansion that's highly anticipated.

They certainly do. We used to have one in town, but it was closed and reopened as a Quickie Mart. There was one about a block away from my old apartment in Toronto. Toronto has a TON of 7-11's.

It doesn't matter all that much, really. You still won't be able to play it until midnight Wednesday, and installing it before then would likely prevent you from playing at all. I know that pre-orders have shipped today and most folks will get it tomorrow via FedEx or UPS or whatever, so you'll still have lots of people in possession of the game before they can play it. Still.. boneheaded move on their part.

Yeah he states it in the donor thread I made that he was out for a while and was shocked for the thread to go up to 5 pages. Hell, I'd go check myself if I knew where a 7-11 was in Ottawa.

Bought 2 copies in Portland OR. Looks like they just started selling games here in this area and did not really know that it was pre-release. The 7/11 sign said "Available in November" and had a picture of the WotLK box under it.
