can anyone help me out on this one ?
Hello guys,
I have a serious question here.
At the moment, im tanking with King's Defender.
Farming Zul'Aman every reset, hoping for the Cleaver of the Unforgiving to drop.. im sure it will drop some day.. and by then, I would like to know wich is better for me at my current state of gear:
I am a human warrior, wich is getting 5 expertise skill from my King's Defender.
With King's Defender, talented in Defiance (6 expertise skill), I am at 27 expertise skill. the soft expertise cap is at 23 for the record.
The King's Defender will give me 17 hit rating.
The Cleaver of the Unforgiving, gemmed with 10 hit, will give me 22 hit rating.
Also the Cleaver of the Unforgiving gives me about 10 more dps, but drops me below the soft expertise cap.
Now my question is, what will be my best bet threatwise:
King's Defender or Cleaver of the Unforgiving.
Is it worth dropping down the expertise cap to 22, 1 under the soft cap, and boosting my hit rating with 5 and raw weapon dps with 10?
Regards,
Melv

First off, Soft Expertise Cap is 26,
I'd say that the KD is probably better than Cleaver for a human. 5 expertise skill is equivalent to 20 expertise rating.
You comparing 10 dps increase and 5 hit to 20 expertise. I'd say it'd be good to keep the expertise. Below the soft cap, expertise provides double the benefit of hit.
thats 23 right? or is that statement wrongExpertise required to eliminate dodges = 5.6 (chance to dodge)/0.25 (reduction per point of expertise skill) = 22.4 rounded up to 23 expertise skill
Recent testing done on Elitist Jerks found it to be 6.5% on boss level monsters.
It used to be 5.6, on the math that 5% is the dodge rate for a lvl 70, and +0.2% for each level over 70 (since that's the increase of the crit-chance on mobs).
Now, we know that it's closer to +0.5% for dodge from 70-73 per level, and that parry is more.
