Using 3.0.1 and scrolling is still just as bad.
The bug causing severe performance issues while scrolling on pages with fixed background images in Firefox 3.0 has been fixed, according to mozilla bug report listings. If you're a Firefox 3 user, it's strongly recommended you update to this latest version.
Some users are still reporting issues, so if you're still using Firefox 2, keep checking back for more information.
Using 3.0.1 and scrolling is still just as bad.
If you don't mind me asking, what OS are you running? (XP, Vista 32, Vista 64?) What are your general specs?
Once I saw the bug report update I installed it and it's running smooth for me, on Vista 64-bit. I was going to revert our forums to fixed background earlier today and stopped once I saw that.
Vista 32 bit. 2 GB ram, amd 62 x2 5200, GeForce 8400 GS video card.
It's nothing unbearable, just a slight annoyance.
Scrolling is slower than it should be, but it's actually bearable now unlike before.
