Any Advice on my Warrior

Hey everyone, I don't post here very often, but anyhoo, If anyone is kind enough to oblidge with some advice for my warrior, in terms of gear, where I should focus on for the next upgrade etc.

*Spec is standard 8/5/48*

My stats are as followed.
15.1k Unbuffed HP
16.1k Armour
502 Def
17% dodge
16% parry
21% block
39 Hit rating
19 Expertise

I haven't been lucky enough to pick up the commendation of kael'thas yet
and I'm saving up for the new badge leggings, but is there anywhere else I should work on or is there and area I'm forgetting.

*I only tank karazhan and maybe Zul Aman everyone and a while, but I'm hoping to maybe progress further being is my main is doing BT/Hyjal*

The most obvious upgrade is the 100 badge legs [item]sunguard Legplates[/item].

A couple other easy upgrades are the badge ring [item]ring of the stalwart protector[/item], and [item]Darkmoon Card: Vengeance[/item]. Also a very minor upgrade would be the [item]brooch of deftness[/item], but since you already have the SSO neck it probably won't be a priority now since you can now get epic gems for badges.

But, I really don't think I'm telling you anything you don't already know. You have a very solid set capable of tanking tier 5, or even early tier 6

Yeah, most of that I have my sights firmly set on and running kara whenever possible to farm badges, the real trick is to get into a guild that runs during the day so i can run my pally at night :S

I'm new here, but not very new to tanking

Just a thing I noticed. As far as I know 490 defence is a cap. More in defence is waste of gems/enchants. If you get 502 def only from your gear then surely nothing to change there, but if you have def gems or enchants I suggest you change them to improve other stats.

What I meant is, if you get your hands on any better gear then sure go for it. But atm better changing gems and enchants. As 490 is max for defense stats. Other points above are waste.

more def is not a waste imo, it increases your dodge,parry, block and chance to be missed. 490 is not the 'cap' it is the minimum...

yep 490def is REQUIRED to a throw crits from the combat log.

then, you can choose EH or AV.

I just have to say I think there was a wording problem here . 490 gives you crit immunity yes . after that extra defence gives you extra mitigation ..yes . but eg . I have not one def gem or enchant on my gear and I have avarege 518 def rat . I think the point is after 490 say for instance you are lacking dodge , a 8 dodge gem would be more helpfull than a 8 def gem , same with eg parry or stam as such , so yes extra def over 490 is benificial but using other gems to stack up on a stat that you may feel is lacking might allso be a good option .
