Okay Lurker is pretty easy except for one small point which always seems to catch people out. Spout!
So this is a guide on how to avoid it.
The spout will always start at the tank and then move either clockwise or anti-clockwise around the circle and then end up at the tank again. So stay in the water if you are jumping in and are tanking lurker otherwise it will just come around and smack you again.
Make sure to be right under the water, these guys have it right:
Because if you get hit then you will just be smacked back and back and die, Klor the other night completely forgot to get in the water and this is what happened:
As an added reminder, if someone does get smacked by Spout its not neccesarily a wipe so you shouldnt just stand around and watch the guy get shot back, GET IN THE WATER:
I hope this helps you to avoid spout in any future encouters you have with lurker.

Haha!
Also don't forget that it's imperative to kill all the tech packs around lurker first, so you can kill all the fishies
That makes jumping in the water so so so much less ouchie.
Rogues do it from behind, but Druids do it on all fours.

... and it isn't necessary to be under the water ... just jump in and stay in![]()
definatly, also a little top for the whirlwind is that if you tank the boss where water overflows onto the inner circle there is a tiny ledge just in the water, it means your in LOS with all your healers, if you just nudge in and out of it you avoid the knockback. The extra damage taken in the water could be a problem for tanks that arn't overgeared for the encounter but two or three ticks rather than getting knocked back is worth it imo.
