Your gear is fine.
Hey everyone,
My guild is making great progress through the T6 content so far....Azgalor down last night in Hyjal and hoping to get our first pull on Gorefiend on Friday.
From what I understand, Gorefiend is the first tank gear check in the zone. Is my gear at the appropriate level for tanking him or should we possibly wait until we see a few tanking upgrades drop? Or is Bloodboil going to be just as hard on the tanks?

I would probably swap in my badge cloak for the extra armor on this fight.
For those not hitting the link, 16.8k unbuffed hp, 17.2 AC, ~50% dodge + parry + miss.
(Side note, we had a feral druid tanking Azgalor)
Your gear is fine.
I tanked Teron in my threat gear on our first kill (15.3k HP unbuffed, 504 def, 103 hit rating, 25 expertise, 21.5% dodge, 17.4% parry, 28.7% block, 17.4k armor) and it went down fine.
Bloodboil is a lot harder on the tanks in my experience.
If you have killed Azgalor already, Teron hits around the same. Just switch cleaves for crushes et voilá!
In summary, TBC raiding is easy. 9/10 encounters can be summarized with 1 phrase. Stay out of the fucking fire.
Panda Cub with a Gnome pet!
There's actually only one "tank gear check" in BT and that's Shahraz.
You are perfectly fine until there. For her u would need some more avoidance if yo can afford it.
Worlde - Prot Paladin
Darkworldie - Tank DW Frost DK
Uord - Prot Warrior
Huordie - Feral / Resto Druid
Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm sure I'll need some more gear before we get to Mother, but she's a little ways away at the moment.
