Starting Kara: Required Stats?

Hi guys,

I know as a tank, 490 defense, 12k health and 13k or so armor is a good starting place. But anyone have good recommendations for other classes to start Kara? Lately, our guild has been having problems with newer members wanting to upgrade directly from Outlands questing greens straight to Kara professor plums. Not cool. As a raid leader, I want to have some benchmarks for people to meet before I let them into a raid. What sort of AP should melee classes have? What +healing should I look for in a main healer, or an off healer? That's the sort of information I'm looking for. Anyone have a link or some recommendations they can pass along?
