Switched gear around and took off a lot of avoidance, typical stacked group (1 heroism - trinket proc has same name).

    Xavastrasz - WWS

Total amount of skill threat: 61001.98

Sunwell gear pretty much destroyed the tiny amount of sanity between the threat for the classes.

It will be pretty much standard now that tanks flat won't miss attacks.

Checked your wws. Looks like a pretty perfect rotation. 23 revenges, 23 shieldslams and 40 devastates. Crazy crit % on your skills. I bet you used quite a lot of dps gear. Also pretty crazy average swing damage there. What weapon did you use?

2040TPS sure is crazy but using dps gear :/

The only way I can drop my dodge rate is to put on gear without dodge or agility. I used 3 piece vengeful, rest was tank gear. I used [item]Blade of Savagery[/item] from mother shahraz

I could have done a very similar log threat-wise by not using DPS gear, but instead wearing very "bad" tank gear with almost no avoidance. However, PvP gear was on hand because, well, I PvP.

To put it in perspective, my ideal "threat suit" still lands me at something like 60% avoidance in a raid setting, without actually trying to cater to avoidance at all. The only way to maximize your threat is to have stable rage gain, and vs a boss like gorefiend, high avoidance prevents that. I could have taken off gear altogether to reduce my avoidance, but then I'd be dropping massive amounts of armor and stamina. Thus the ideal solution is to put on PvP gear which has high stamina AND armor, but also happens to come with crit/str - not necessary, but certainly a gain.

I assure you if I could have stable rage gain in my normal threat suit with the high avoidance, I'd be able to pull quite near that TPS amount, minus the contribution from the extra ~5% crit. (The rest of the crit is just raid buffs/grp buffs)

What 3 pieces? And how much sta/armor unbuffed did that give you?
I'm curious cause recently I've been experimenting with using s3 helm for tanking trash and I love it although I lose about 300 hp from my helm but I gain some armor.
I would like to find a good balance to up my TPS while making sure that my healers aren't having to work overtime.

    Helm, Legs, Chest

I'm not prot atm but I think it would've given me 18500 armor and 15200 unbuffed hp as prot

I think there's a way I could min/max it some more but it isn't really needed, I just make halfway decent sets with the gear I've already got on me and go with that.

Gorefiend TPS can be boosted very good by healing threat via Prayer of Mending.
We have 3 holy priests in raid and look at amount of healing aggro from PoM:

Amount: Hits: Crits: Dmg threat: 0 Skill threat: 0

    Earth Shield:
    Amount: 11866 Overheal: 0% Threat: 8869.835
    Prayer of Mending:
    Amount: 11500 Overheal: 12% Threat: 7564.7
    Lifebloom:
    Amount: 10737 Overheal: 66% Threat: 2728.80855

Total amount of dmg threat: 233858.365
Total amount of skill threat: 90266.605
Total amount of healing threat: 19163.34355

    TPS: 1239.3079911552

this seems very low (for my standard of gear), atleast i think. For this fight i wore 4 parts T6, brutaliser with mongoose, 94 hit and 26 expertise rating. Further buffs were 1 enh shaman in my group and the usual raid buffs/flasks. Also cause of the nature of my gear (still maintaining fairly high avoidance) i ran out of rage quite a few times durnig the fight, so i couldn't proceed with the normal SS/rv/devestate/devestate cycle

Yeah, our 2nd dragonscale sword dropped from Kalecgos, so I use it as my threat weapon now. (I passed the first to our OT since he didn't have mallet, even).

    No windfury.
    No heorism.
    No healing threat.
    No dps items.

If you are capable of doing 1200tps without this you can call yourself: GODLIKE.

Everything else is e-peen. Tanks are threat/rage capped without outside buffs.
