Hello all,
I am pretty new to tanking and am building my set and need some advice to see if what I am doing is right and if not what changes should I make. Any and all advice would be helpful.

alright, to start, replace your Keen Ember Topaz with Fine Ember Topaz. Exp/Hit is a waste for DKs

What is the point of reforging 128 Mastery into Hit, then reforging 128 Dodge into Mastery?
I guess some where tanks alike are being mislead into thinking they need hit and expertise at like the melee dps caps.Quote:

For the fact that as a DK tank I've got 0 hit and the exp that can't be reforged off my gear and I did just fine pre threat changes and still do find now. I assume you read something from MMO-Champion?
Yes and other ppl have told me that I should be near the 8% hit cap and expertise for help with threat generation.
The reason to have hit/exp as a DK is so DS doesn't miss, isn't it? It's more about using your core surability tool (heal plus bubble) than threat?
That's what I was told and, that expertise is great for threat gen...what I don't want to do is trade off the ability to stay alive with mastery for stats that may be a waste.
Threat isn't a problem anymore, whack a mob once and it's on you like rubber cement.
I've yet to see my DS miss at 0 hit so far :pQuote:

3 Blood DK parses, H:25m Baleroc. Tried to pick a fight where DPS wouldn't be as important. All 3 show Death Strike misses.
Not saying you're the luckiest guy in the world... but if you really haven't.... I'd have traded that string of non-misses for a winning 250 million dollar lotto ticket... :p

Yeah, hit is a comodity for DK's, expertise is a eyesore for all tanks alike (to my knowledge). Even befor the threat buff you didn't NEED either for keeping a boss nice and mad at you. If you had trouble in the first 30 seconds, you either needed a better opener or DPS needed to relax a bit (I know some of them like to pop their 5 minuet CD's at the start if it's going to be around a 6 minuet fight). after that it was all in your rotation. Now you may was well make movement macros to keep out of fire and go afk with auto atacks keeping threat. (kidding)
I have 0 hit and 11 exp I think and my threat has never been a problem in raids (sometimes in 5mans for some reason) but the top dk on my server said that he is hit and exp caped only for the DS misses but this causes his DS shield/heal to be far less that Maine even though he is wearing full FL gear with some heroic pieces to. So are all the top dk's reforging for hit/exp or only some?
I haven't tried all of this out yet, but I came across a post I found particularly helpful.
