Shaman - spec switch disables number keys

Its very annoying I play resto 90% of the time but when i switch to Elemental my Bar 1 has the primary elemental spells on it.

Chain lightning/lava burst etc.

The thing is often in raids the number keys (not the number pad - its a laptop) dont seem to work. I can press 1 2 3 4 till the cows come home, the icons react as though a GCD has been used but no spell is cast.

Possible mod interaction?

I use healbot, Bar Tender, TotemTimers

Any help would be appreciated.
