Frost to Blood

Hello Tankspot peeps,

I have been a frost spec tank for some time now and it has been going really well. I am doing more and more end game content and I would like to have a go at the blood spec.

I have checked the builds thread but is there any information on effective blood rotations for keeping threat?

Also, in consideration of ICC what do people feel DK tanks should be stacking? Stam or Dodge? With the debuff you get it seems that there should be a lot of consideration given to dodge. Any thoughts?

As a blood tank....should I be looking at strength and crit?

If you are a Blood tank, the first, best, and favoritist answer for me is to stack health as long and far as you can. I am a stickler for socket bonuses, but health will benefit all of your self-healing and other survival tools handsomely.

Blood means you take more damage as you know and you are relying on self healing, but with ICC in mind....is respeccing to Blood a good idea? This debuff (dodge) has me ver concerned that is all and Id like pointed in the right direciton. :)

If you like frost, and are still using a 2 hander, stop, with the new runeforge, frost is stupid NOT to DW.

I've been a blood tank for all of 3.0-3.2. With 3.3 released I've actually moved over to DW frost for avoidance. The reason is strictly due to the mechanics of the encounters in the first wing. 2 bosses receive buffs each time they hit you, Gunship captain and Saurfang. Since dying really isn't that big of an issue unless your healers stop healing...you can sacrifice some health for avoidance to reduce the number of times you are hit, thus reducing the buffs the bosses receive. You can see more detailed explanation here.

Blood works just fine in ICC. The nuances are funny actually.

On one hand the ability to counter boss damage spikes with fast heals has faded quite a bit, but the more constant amount of moderate damage also makes a lot more room for using the heals one at a time at a constant clip.

Come to think of it, I should really parse a log from my next ICC and see if my suspicion is right. I'd expect my overhealing on Death Strike has probably dropped a little.
