Icecrown Citadel Prot Gear List

I am sure there will be other in-depth Prot Warrior lists from people such as Halandir, but for the eager-beavers out there such as myself I wanted to go ahead and make a list with the info currently available since ICC came out yesterday.

Keep in mind a few key points about this list:
- Pieces are listed by item level and not currently ordered by any priority formulas
- List is Horde oriented (many pieces will have an alliance version with same stats)
- Many Heroic ToC pieces are still better then some of the pieces on this list but in the interest of keeping things concise I am only listing the ICC gear here.
- Many pieces are not on wowhead yet (mmo-champion only), I will replace links as they become available so that we get the nice pop-up info
- Feel free to make suggestions, point out issues, etc as this list will evolve greatly as more info comes out.

Thanks yet again for taking time to break down pieces Squirrel. I realize you said you would make updated and items are no way listed in any order outside itemlvl. So shouldn't title not imply BiS list, since your not actually listing BiS gear, your only listing gear drops from IC. Just saying, thats really overall not BiS if you don't go into detail of breaking items down like we have always seen by stat (BV / EH / T / Avoid). Anyways, thank you alot for list, I do always use your list as well as Halandir's. Either way don't care if title is changed, I was just expecting when I came into thread a break down of piece based on stat weight, since I come to expect the fine detail from both of you in your gear list post.

You obviously aren't familiar with Squirrel's lists. The items are in order of EH with the top item in each list as "best".

Halandir is the guy who breaks them down into BV/EH/T/A....but at least for TOC his list wasnt released until many months after ToC, at which time it was pretty irrelevant.

There's not really much interpretation needed. Stam still reigns supreme. So the higher ilvl pieces which have more stam, are nearly always better than any lower ilvl pieces. The exceptions to this general rule are pretty obvious.

I personally prefer Squirrel's list because it's (a) more timely (b) links all the possible prot loots from a raid in one spot for easy comparison so you can decide on your own if you agree/disagree with the ranking.

It's true I am an EH whore lol. Still I do agree with Hapa I shouldn't have named it BiS since some pieces from ToC are still better then some IC pieces. Perhaps I will fix it over time by adding in the top ToC pieces as well so that it is a more realistic BiS listing. For now it is just IC stuff so that it is easy to see whats new but I will fix it.

I also like the way it's listed, mainly cause I don't run 25m usually. The other dude's list almost never shows any 10m loot, so is not useful at all to me.

As a sufferer of TERRIBLE trinket RNG through all of ToC I would just like to say W00T!! for having a vendor HP trinket available :D - Corroded Skeleton Key

Likely the first thing on my list to buy considering I am still a Brewfest trinket user at the moment lol

The stam is nice but I gotta say the on use is pretty weak

That's true, I compared it to the brewfests on use in my head as the reply was going through.

Also keep in mind that once more wings are open we will have access to more 25 man loot that will likely replace the 10 man stuff. We got 1/4 of a raid shipped to us, so it looks like the loot tables are kinda sparse.

If that happens please don't remove the 10m loot, so us guys that are 10m exclusive can still use the list. Thanks!

I don't plan on removing 10m stuff. There are plenty of people interested in 10m raid loot and the objective of this thread is to help people see what all is out there and get an idea of what upgrades to look for. I will definitely add to the list as more info and gear is confirmed.

May I suggest separating the 25m loot and the 10m loot?

I have also created a 10m profile http://www.wowhead.com/?profile=18879413 for ICC.

My main focus is to get hit cap with food buff and soft capped in expertise for maximized threat :)
You can change some of the yellow/red sockets if you want less expertise/hit to make most use of the trinket and food buff.

Maybe once all the Icecrown stuff is released it would warrant separation between 10m and 25m, but for the time being there isn't enough pieces to require that kind of thing.

Many guilds do both 25m and 10m to gear up faster and it is easiest to see all the possible gear upgrades and make comparison decisions when all the loot is in a concise list including all the ICC stuff.

I made sure to list whether each piece is from 10m or 25m so I think it is clear enough unless more people comment requesting a different layout.

Totally agree when more items are being released :)
