need help on rune strike macro

hi, there i really nid help for this macro i already checked alot of sites. The only thing is i dont know how to make one sorry im really new just hit 80 1week ago and decided to go tank. Please if someone can step by step help to make a rune strike macro which i can pretty much apply on most of my dps skills. I made macro rotations for my dps b4 is that the same how rune strike macro works? how do i know its casting automatically? how can i use it as often as possible?

That macro should work. Replace "instant damage attack" with whatever main ability you want.
