Pally tank rotation/spec/etc

Well im fairly new to tanking and was wondering if i could get some tips on other tanking pallys rotations and other stuff

Ive tanked up to ulduar 10 starter bosses with these stats fairly easily

Right now i just spam all my cds starting with my trinkets [Repelling Charge]http://fof.guildlaunch.com/resources...ts/recycle.png and [Figurine - Monarch Crab]http://fof.guildlaunch.com/resources...ts/recycle.png right off the bat with Holy Shield not far behind and then a quick judgement to proc my [Libram of Obstruction]http://fof.guildlaunch.com/resources...ts/recycle.png after that i use Consecration, Hammer of Righteous, and alt tab threw all the mobs to find any that dps are getting kind of high on aggro meters and spam white hits and exorcism, after that just rinse and repeat until dead

This seems to work out pretty well for me for aggro but idk if it will keep the stuff on me when dps is pulling 6k so im looking for a more effective aggro solution -Please Help-

im open to any suggestions on where to put things im just looking to increase my tps atm and maybe get some tips on where to move my stats around, glyphs, etc, as i said before im fairly new to tanking but ive healed in 25 uld

Is the current talent specc I`m using and I`m happy with it. More or less what all palas use atm.

As for threath rotation, dont simply mash buttons. Use the 969 or 696 rotation and work on it.

6 sec CD
SotR
HotR

9 sec CD
Judgment
Conc
Holy Shield

I start with judgment > SotR > HS > HotR > Conc > SotR on singel target, then simply rinse and repeat.

More then 1 mob a HotR/conc is the best from my point of view.

Doing this simple thing will generate enough DPS to keep trigger happy dps behind you.

Glyphs look fine.

thx for the input but do you not have mana problems from the only 1 point in spiritual attunement and no points in benediction? I find that i still have mana problems with both those talents even with divine plea up. That might be because i was button mashing though. Ill edit if manas no longer an issue with the spec/rotation.

Drop the five points in Benediction, as well as the second point in improved judgements, it won't let you get any more judgements in as the 969 rotation won't allow for it. You should also only need one point in spriritual attunement, unless you're going to be tanking General Vezax. I wasn't able to regain enough mana while tanking him with one 1/2 in SA.

"Judgements of the Just" is a necessary tanking talent, the attack speed debuff prevents a large amount of damage over the course of a fight.

The spec linked above is a good "threat" spec.

Really? I find Divine plea alone is almost enough to keep up mana, even while "spamming". Are you giving yourself blessing of sanctuary or kings? BoSanc is also a very large source of mana return.

Mana is not an issue. Bosanc should help you aswell, if it is still a problem pull more....

im sorry i should have specified on raids im fine on mana but in heroics is where i oom so i guess its not that big of a deal, im gonna try out the spec you posted tonight in naxx and try out that rotation thx for all the help/advice

for tanking on my paladin i use sanc and seal of wisdom and i almost allways have 75% mana or more is it bad for agro gen to use seal of wisdom?

I use Blessing of Wisdom when I'm fighting the trash before Gothik. Blessing of Sanctuary has been way better in every other fight, granted I haven't fought the General yet. As far as Seal of Wisdom it is up to you though I have found my threat was higher when I used Seal of Vengeance and judged wisdom/light.

The 969 rotation is the optimal use of your Global Cooldowns. If you are fighting a single target mob you can replace Consecration in the rotation with a high threat ability like Exorcism, or you can just leave that spot blank in the rotation if you are having mana issues against caster bosses.

You can start with any ability you see fit in the 696/969 rotation. If you want Holy Shield first for defenses or a Judgement upfront to reduce boss attack speed it doesn't matter which order you choose. The only thing you have to remember is that a 6 second cooldown ability always follows a 9 second cooldown ability and vice versa. The rest works itself out.
