I don't understand why people are so quick to write this ability off.
I do understand that at first glance it seems a little weak, but on fights like 3d sarth (And hopefully harder ulduar encounters) you can work in damage reduction if you are an off tank in a rotation with it.
Example.
Sarth Breath #1, Intervene MT -30% damage taken
Sarth Breath #2, Guardian Spirit
Sarth Breath #3, Shield Wall
Sarth Breath #4, Hand of Sacrifice
Sarth Breath #5 Re-Intervene will be up again by now (30 sec CD) and can redo that.
Just a modification from the 15/5/51 build to 15/3/52 and dropping 2 points from cruelty you could pick it up.
I mean I'm not too clever when it comes to min/maxing abilities but this seems pretty nice (Esp if you had 2 warrior off tanks that could rotate it with healers)
It does reduce overall threat by 10%, but we've never had our warrior tank have threat issues at all with ToT/MD's going up every CD. (And I don't even think we need to do that, not to mention on a fight like sarth3d 10% overall threat would be very trivial to the sarth tank at that point)
I also don't hear people talk too much about Intervene and the threat mechanic. Every spec of warrior gets it, so why not have your fury warriors Intervening each other, or your other High TPS DPS along with HoSacrifice and it's a pretty nice tool.
That's all =)
