Block Value Gear (T5 Instances)

As per Cider's request this is my current block value gear. After all buffs/equations it puts me at 823 block value before trinket and 1052 after trinket.

There are more pieces in the T5 instances like the T5 gloves/pants that would add quite a bit more block value to the set.

plus my strength (276 and i have no idea how that translates) as well as shield mastery

276 / 20 + 1 = 14.8sbv from str

soo 525+14.8 = 539.8

539.8*1.3 mastery = 701.74 O_o, that doesn't sound right. Cider what am I doing wrong O_o....

and nice gear, I'm far from any of that =(

I have probably only half of that list, and styleen's is unobtainable for me =(

What you're missing is that Shield of Impenetrable Darkness is 173 SBV with that enchant (the shield has 122 block, it has an equip bonus of +33SBV and a +18SBV enchant).

Total SBV = (1.3 x Equipped SBV) + [(Str / 20) - 1]

This should then shake out at (1.3 x 647) + (276/20) - 1 or 853 before trinket or 1113 after trinket.

Do you have the latest TankPoints Groundchuck? It calculates and displays SBV pre-trinket.

ah, didn't even look twice at the shield, no wonder I was off.

Arena shield ftw if you can get it though, stats are awesome.

I just figure my block value by checking the amount blocked in the combat log. :)

(arena shield is pretty far out of my grasp, I can't stand pvp)

lol yeh, combat log is probably easiest way (im stuck at work, no game! ;P)

same for me, I'm arena'ing now to get a shoulder upgrade for my dps set, but no clue what to do from there... 1hand axe? shield? the possibilities! 10 weeks later of course =P
