I did a spec wondered if it was viable, i might try it soon basically, its to OT well 10man even 25man as a third tank spec, and to still dps good, and the concussion blow gives me a 5 second CC, which is not bad + intercept, if the combo is done properly that'd be 7-8 seconds of cc, + i can always switch fast to shield + def stance if anything happens.
Any comments on how it could (not) work ?

Decision Making Examples

3- PUG Tanking
Charlie is in the middle of multiple rep grinds in Outlands. Right now he is working pick up group after pick up group for dungeon crawls. The good thing is that as a tank he rarely has to look long for a team. The bad thing is you never know what you are going to get when you do...

Restricted Electives:
Improved Bloodrage (2/2) - For when rage is needed out of the box
Anticipation (5/5) - His gear isn't yet at the point where this can be skipped
Toughness (5/5) - Help out the mitigation situation while gearing up
Improved Sunder Armor (3/3) - Help get those sunders out fast
Improved Taunt (2/2) - For when the fire mage brings out the pyroblast
Improved Shield Wall (2/2) - Help out whoever might be healing

Free Electives: (14 points remaining)
Improved Charge (2/2) - I'll do the pulling tonight, thanks
Anger Management (1/1) - More rage will be needed, even when aggro isn't held
Cruelty (5/5) - Important to keep the damage output up
Booming Voice (5/5) - Cast a wider net to catch far ranging mobs
Piercing Howl (1/1) - Helpful when kiting a train of mobs

I have followed this guide as it describes me well at the moment. However, I am not sure that having cruelty is better than putting points into Vitality.

Furthermore, all rotations talk of going SS Revenge Devastate Devastate. Obviously this is not possible when one does not have Devastate.

Has anyone else been uncertain about this build or even tried it. Also would love to know the rotations they used if that was the case.

One thing I will note is that threat so far has not been an issue.

Correct. Those choices made much more sense when the guide was written, back in 2.2, when Devastate didn't incorporate Sunder Armor. As such, Devastate was much more marginal and had less compelling value than it does now.

Given how things stand in 2.4, I would go with Vitality as well, since Devastate is currently a no-brainer. It will be interesting to see how things change in v3...

Right, so stupid me missed the note on front page which read. Current as at 2.1.3.

Guess I should respec again to add Dev into my mix. Just will mean that little bit longer without an Epic mount.
