Performance issues on the new site

Has anyone else noticed scroll tearing issues with the new redesign of the site? I'm running Firefox 3 Beta 5 on Windows XP as my primary browser, and have notice a HUGE gap in performance between running with images turned off or on.

Just checked the site in IE 6, and performs just fine, although I lose all the fancy gradients.

(To Cider: sorry if this shouldn't be posted here - I didn't see a dev forum or bug forum to post in instead)

Yep.. the scrolling issue is the same thing that I'm having. BUT it's only on this site.

Looked into the transparent png thing as being a potential source, and unfortunately didn't have the problems on my test site (although it's no where near as complicated as a vB-based forum).

I guess I'll look into my user cp and see if there's any theming options.. I wouldn't mind having something that's a bit more worksafe to begin with (the warrior background is kinda telling)

It's a Firefox 3 issue. The site was optimized for Firefox 2, IE6 and IE7, and it works well on most other browsers (including cell phones!). The FF3 issue, whatever it is, is entirely an issue of the FF3 developers.
