Never tanked a 25 man boss before today. A couple "lucky" SS crits, and I'm not soaking hurtfuls anymore- Gruul is trying to nuke MY face. Fortunately the heals were good and with all the rage I was getting, threat was through the roof. Super-nuke, one-shot gruul.

I still feel like crap though. I failed at my tanking assignment; I was supposed to fight for number TWO on threat. Once I realized what happened, I just about shit myself. "Do you want me to hold back...

Do you have what it takes? If you have the patience, level-headedness, and zen-like inner-being to best 12 levels of Oshidama while your significant other is yelling his/her head off over mistakes that you may or may not have made, you're ready for anything. I finished level 12 in 62 pushes and got a 'B'... I wanna see someone get an 'S.'

I think I've about decided to just let my account run up until Wrath is released. My tank was started a couple of months ago (4-18-07, looking at the blog entry), so he is way behind the current state of the game, and it seems impossible to find a starting 25-man guild that is worth a crap right now. It makes sense; any guild with the inclination to run 25 mans and the ability to do so is well beyond Gruul and Mag at this point. And I'm so sick of Kara and Heroics I could die; every guild I find...

When you hit level 40 and go ALLLLL the way back to the noob town to get your mount, don't miscalculate your reputation discount and find yourself 2g short with nothing to pawn, your hearthstone on cooldown, and all of your guild asleep because it's 5AM. It's not a good place to be. Not that I would know. And I certainly didn't suicide in Stonebull Lake in frustration/shame.

I tanked

My first instance tanking was SM Lib... it went ok. We made it all the way through with no wipes. I did let a DPSer die once (wasn't using Shield Block and Revenge efficiently). I then ran SM Armory twice, and did MUCH better- no deaths at all! The first armory run went as smoothly as I could have hoped, but I was so focused on not being a crappy tank that I don't remember any of the details. The second armory run was myself at level 34, a level 34 ret pally, a level...
