It all started with our 25m Heroic Beasts kill. I am not going to lie, we paid for that kill with repair bills and pot purchases. 94 attempts later we finally get the pay off we needed. This was a week ago. Whether it was a fluke the first time or not remains to be seen but our subsequent kill seems to prove otherwise.

Last night was such a weird raid, I feel like I have to blog about it.

25 Man ToC is now on farm and we do a 2 hour clear of the instance. Ulduar has been on farm for close to 2 months now. We officially put it to a farm status mid July. What this leaves us with is abbreviated Thursday night raids. We have low DPS issues so that puts 25 Man Heroic ToC out of reach for us at the moment. I assume being a GM is hard. I have never had the opportunity, will, or desire to run a guild myself but over the course of my time as an Indian and not a chief, I have come up with some of my own theories on guild leadership.

Guild leadership always seems to be an afterthought. There is of course the guy or gal that networks and organizes the group of people. That same dude or dudette may also be a game guru that does research for pulls and watches Tankspot videos (shameless plug?...

Everyone knows what this is. We call it different things of course. What I am referring to is the raiding composition trinity: Tanking, Healing, and DPS. I think one thing that has always fascinated me about a raiding guild, is the fact that I have never been in a situation where the DPS core is the strength of the group. There always seems to be 1-5 outstanding members of the DPS core, which carry the entire guild.

Lots of things have changed for me in the last 2 months or so as far as raiding goes. I have been made an officer as of 2 weeks ago. That in itself is pretty cool. As the tank lead I suppose it was a logical next step for guild management.

We finally downed Yog. I think the big turning point was us finally cutting some people that were problems. We had a few people that could not wrap their minds around the Yog mechanics and sadly we had to let them go. I wish them luck in the future...
