So this past weekend was our first ever guild run into SSC. Trash went ok, no wipes but of course a few deaths. The first giant took out most of the melee, big surprise there. Finally got to Lurker (skipped Hydross) and fished him up after a rather lengthy explanation.

First attempt, too many died to spout, which was kind of expected for me. People have to get used to it. Reading strats and watching videos is great... but it still doesn't compare to first hand experience.

Saturday, Citadel went into Gruul's Lair for the first time. All week I was very nervous, as we did not have enough sign-ups to fill the raid on our own. We seemed to have the tanks and were only missing one healer, but we were sorely lacking in DPS. I had been very frustrated with the guild overall lately, as we seemed to be having lots of trouble getting things moving.

We call ourselves a casual raiding guild, and that is the way I wanted it to be. But I think some do not get what...

I am so frustrated from this past weekend.

So.. our guild has made friends with another guild on our server that is progressed beyond us. They seem to have problems with completely filling their 25-mans, so after pugging us in a couple times before, they have come to rely on us. I even maintank'd Gruul and Mag for them in the past few weeks. For my guild, I have told everyone that they are welcome to go if they wish, though I prefer they coordinate it through me to make things easier....

So last night, I got to main tank Magtheridon. These types of things are why I truly love tanking more then dps'ing with my warlock. The rush and thrill of knowing that 24 other people are depending on you being on your A-game is such a high. I was really worried before we started that I would have aggro issues. We were running with another guild (Eve of Destruction) that is farther progressed then Citadel is currently. They have been basically said we have first dibs on any open spots for their...

So.. Citadel is a casual raiding guild. We currently raid Fri / Sat, and recently have been focusing on ZA on Sundays. We've got the numbers to do Gruul's... barely. I'm just torn as to whether we are ready. We've been running Kara for about 2 months or more, and we've got some people that are well geared, even beyond starting Gruul's. Problem is... we've also got quite a few that aren't. We were running 2 Kara teams at one point but quite a few were alts from one team. We've grown more since then...
