So.... I recently got a few "upgrades" for my kitty dps set. I call them "upgrades" because, even though they were all drastic ilvl upgrades, the stats on them weren't as solid. Before I had gone for a "maximize crit, ap, armor pen, and don't really worry about anything else" dps approach. These few pieces dropped my crit and ap very slightly, but gave me a ton of hit and some expertise.

Anyway getting back on task~ I joined a 25 man OS, no drakes....

So, I consider myself a fairly hardcore wow player. I have one main, and he has 30 days logged at 80. However, I cant maintain a regular raid schedule, and this really bothers me. Its not that I cant play a lot due to real life, but there are some weeks where I cant play at all. Usually I'll miss Tuesday-Friday every other week or so. (As to why, I'm a web developer and sometimes I'm required to go to headquarters to "sync" in.)

The Prot Warrior tank had 30k health unbuffed, which is definitely good enough for a heroic. The other two dps looked okay, and pulled between 1.5-2k dps.
From the first pull, well, second I suppose (the first aoe pull), I knew the tank was going to have issues. After three swipes or so I had aggro on the two targets the tank wasn't focusing...

Nothing busts my balls more than an ignorant player. What I mean by this is best demonstrated by an example. I usually lead pug VoA every week, both 10 and 25. Before pulling Emalon, I ask, "so, who hasn't done this before?" In most cases, nobody says anything. I proceed to briefly explain the fight, set up who is tanking what, and divide up healing as best I can. Then I do a readycheck and give the OT the go-ahead to pull. RARELY does Emalon die on the first attempt (It may have...
