Let me preface this a bit first: I'm a 10-man strict raider. So I'll be looking at this in terms of gear available to me rather than all gear currently available in the game. So this will help any 10man cats or bears who don't get to build their cat set out of 25man ToGC heroic mode.

My guild might have come late to the game to the whole hardmode thing (we started tackling hardmodes ~2 months ago and started in ulduar to make sure we got the drakes before they were removed) but it seems like ToGC ruins ToC normal modes for me. It's just lifeless and boring now that we've gotten the hang of the first four bosses in hard modes. Not to mention that after doing an hour of algalon the first few hardmodes in ToGC 10 just seem like an absolute walk in the park. I guess I just need...

Isn't that how the saying goes? I'm a pretty huge exception to that rule. I'm terribly impatient at DPS. It's not that I'll go nuts at the start of the fight and never give the tank a fighting chance. I'll give them time to get a decent lead on threat but it really irks me to hold myself to significantly lower TPS than I could be putting out in bearform myself.

Perhaps it's just that I can get away with 5+ seconds of aggro...

My guild just completed our rusted drakes tonight. Now we can throw down on ToGC. It took us a little under a month of attempts to get it done. I'm looking forward to ToGC now and climbing into the upper ranks of strict 10-man guild rankings.
