Maybe some of you have done it. Maybe some of you have tried it and gave up. Maybe some of you haven't tried it but want to, or have never given it any thought at all.
But regardless of perspective, the topic is: single tanking Kara.
As quick background if you haven't read my other entries, I have a warrior tank. He is my only 70. I have some other characters foundering in the 40's. My guild, including me, consists of 4 people: me, warlock, hunter, holy pally....

You would probably infer from the title of the post that this is going to be a lament/excoriation of trying to PUG Kara. But it's not. Because I pugged an almost full clear last nite (only Netherspite remained) with 2 guildies and 7 other people we just picked up semi-randomly. While Kara is no great shakes for anyone, it's exciting for my guild because there's 3 of us. 10-mans are about the extent of what we can do realistically, at least at the moment.

When I say slight, I mean slight.
Took us 45 minutes to get the PUG together. Part of the reason was my fiancee pitched a fit about unrelated matters and it took me a few minutes to sedate her.
After we pulled it together, the group was:
- Warrior tank (me), Druid tank
- Holy pally (guildie), holy priest, resto druid
- Hunter (guildie), Boomkin (semi-guildie), 2 warlocks, a mage
The holy priest was hilariously geared. And when I...

ZA reset on Friday so guild schedules dictated Saturday night for an attempted ZA run. After the most recent attempt, we were skittish about the Gauntlet bugging out, but I got voted down on doing Bear first (almost guaranteeing we get 1 timed chest).
We got 8 people together pretty quickly. That would be 3 guildies (including me) plus the Boomkin that always runs with us and 4 PUGged players. After a little bit, the Boomkin told us he had a resto shaman from an earlier ZA run...

Unlike my guild's first 2 trips into ZA, we had a group composition we thought would be successful, at least at getting 2 timed chests and clearing the 4 avatars.
Keep in mind when I say guild, I mean me, a hunter, and a holy pally, plus a boomkin from another guild who runs heroics and 10 mans with us.
As the boomkin is the most progressed and experienced (raiding BT with his guild), he gets the groups and leads us through there.
