I never knew you were a Song of Ice and Fire fan. I threw the 1st book across the room the first time I read the ending. He better hurry up and finish the series before he dies!

To be fair, you can do a lot with IPB, but the amount of template modification you have to do to get it on par with vBulletin out of the box is not something I like. It still has advantages in ease of use. I like Macs, so I don't want to make a comparison that sounds insulting to Macs, but vBulletin is similar to Windows in that the vast majority of software is designed for it, IPB is more like Macs where you can find good additions, but not always, and they aren't always ideal.

This guide is meant to be a follow-up to my previous guide, How To Get Accepted Into Any Guild. If you haven't read that guide yet, I would recommend you reading it first.

The Trial Period

Congratulations, you were accepted into your guild of choice. Regardless of how good your application was, however, this is the rest test of character. People are going to be judging your personality and skills harder than you've ever been judged before in this game. Can you make...

Introduction

With the Black Temple and Hyjal attunements dropped, people are getting more and more opportunities to join better, more progressed guilds. Are you sporting Badge and Karazhan gear, but you know your class, and want to join a guild a little more progressed? You might think to yourself, well, I'm at a disadvantage; there are those more geared and experienced than I competing for the same spot, although I probably am a better player than they! How do you make your application...

This blog is completely irrelevant to tanking (or World of Warcraft, for that matter), but are any of you authors of books? I'm seriously considering taking initiative and following one of my dreams, which is to write. Any tips from getting published to getting past writer's block are appreciated.

I've settled in nicely with my guild and have somewhat unofficially become one of the main tanks. The other warrior tank is fully geared with every drop he needs, so all tanking loot is pretty much guaranteed to be defaulted to me. As a result, I'm finally getting the gear to be able to play around with different sets for different stats. I've never really had too much of a threat set, avoidance set, and stamina/effective health set simply because I just wasn't allotted that many tank drops....
