New Blessing of Sanctuary

Places a Blessing on the friendly target, reducing damage taken form all sources by 3% for 10 min. In addition, when the target blocks, parries, or dodges a melee attack the target will gain 10 rage, 20 runic power, or 2% of maximum mana.

Got it from http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin so a grain of salt might be necessary, but still, awesome stuff.

That's great.

However, now people will want 2 prot paladins per raid, unless they make Kings baseline or move it from where it is.

Btw Cinder, here's your rage from parry-dodge

I really hope the fix to warrior rage generation problems when over gearing instances is not 'Bring a Paladin'.

Indeed, but I'm still really happy that they fixed the most useless buff in the game. I'm hoping for Blessing of Kings to be made baseline too.

Um, this is retarded. This goes against the entire spirit of what they said they want to do--elevate a class to "must bring" status.

This isn't a "must have or you all will DIEEEE" buff, but it is hella nice. I never use BoS... I like this change, with the mana return I'll run avoidance + BoSac when I over gear an instance and woot!

I actually run Bosanc all the time for the threat, but to each his own, I guess.

Disagree. Watch your combat log next time you tank a boss. I avoid 60%+ of attacks in my threat gear.

Thinking over Gorefiend, the new BoSanc allows for 100% HS spam. That is the greatest Warrior threat buff we have seen.

Kam i agree to a point.

its not 100% needed is really my main point but it will make an absolutly huge difference!

Same with fort+mark+kings for survivability, we now have Sanc for threat.

there is no use getting a pally to spec 20 points down prot and (i assume) gimp either their healing or DPS so that you can get more threat. 11 points i can agree with but 21 points thats a lot of extra talents not going to good use.

Most healers spec into kings (i think?) so having one prot pally will mean that you are going to get this buff and if they give you otherwise...

classes exist to make eachother better. to synergize. this is just a better example of how paladins synergize with everyone else (outside of devo aura)

I really doubt this will make it to live in it's current state. You can't tell me this wont' be a must have buff, gearing strategies would be completely different depending on whether or not you have Sanctuary available. I doubt that is something Blizzard wants.

Replenish (resto druid): Your rejuvenation spell has a 15% chance to restore 10 energy, 5 rage, 2% mana or 10 runic power per tick.

hunting Party (survival hunter) is similar but mana only. Same for ret pally crit judgments.

I wouldn't be surprised if a variety of classes start popping up with rage/energy/mana/runic power yields.

Thanks Alent, great info.

This is all related to that blue post we saw on mmo-champion about raid buffs and what-not. They will have multiple classes with similar buffs, and make them raid-wide. Then you want a resto druid OR a pally. It's a step in the right direction, and they certainly don't want to be able to take any class for any role. You have a few different classes that can fill the "give the tank unlimited power role" just like there are a few different classes that can fill the "tank" role.

BTW: 10 rage is stupid. There is no reason for us to have a full rage bar at all times.

BTWBTW: Honestly, if you overgear an instance, downgrade some gear. Put on some dps gear in certain slots. Complaining because you're too good just seems a little silly, imo.

Gonna disagree with this point. "Overgearing" is a unique tank problem. You never hear of healers or dps'ers upset because they outgear someplace, it makes it easier for them, maybe to boredom, but it's only for us tanks that overgearing is a bad thing.

I like BoSanc, and I hope Warriors and Druids get a similar mechanic. We shouldn't have to take off our pants or swap gear to still be an effective tank in content that we "outgear."
