Fastest Kara clear ever?

What's your fastest Kara clear ever?

I know to get a fast clear you need to have overgeared grp, so I solo tanked it in my half-way through BT/MH gear and using mostly threat gear. Had +hit maxed at all times, and since it's lower on trash I also had over 800 SBV on trash Even carried 2 low geared alts through but everyone else had over 1k dps. Tanked NS in tank fury gear with a shield and did better then those alts on both NS and Shade.

1 hour 55min.

Not the most perfect run since we did have a few ninjapulls, like pulling Curator with 1 grp still alive. Priest died but pala coulld still solo heal through it. 59sec maiden kill and think Shade was like 109sec. Half the people were drunk as hell also since this was our regular "friday drunken kara"

Could do with 1 healer and no shitty geared alts next time but nice to have a loot-dumper cause it's kinda sad dissing stuff someone can put to good use.

Nice man
We had a race New Zealand vs Australia (i'm a NZer, don't think i've mentioned that on these forums before), didn't kill nightbane or illhoof (rules were you had to pick one from Nightbane, Netherspite and Illhoof) and downed prince in 1 hour 38 minutes. Aussies did it in 1 hour 46. Most fun i've ever had in kara

I did it in ~2h30 in a full pick up raid, I was the only tank and I took a melee group (feral druid, enh shaman, rogues etc) We just had one wipe on Nightbane.
I will try to do it with guildies to see how much time it takes.
Grats for your runs!

We run quick Kara clears every friday night, people on T5 / badge equip level. Our best so far was 1:48 for a full clear (excluding basement) including looting etc of course (that alone takes most of the time especially on the chess event). We run with Paladin tank (me), Druid offtank, 2 Healers and good DPS. Min/Maxing for AOE DPS-lers and heroism shamies would probably be quite a bit quicker, though.

From the pally tank forum the record stands at 1hr 21min webstat posted to confirm.

It may actually be improved now they have stopped nightbane bugging out if you do more than 25% damage to him while still in air.

I did one in like 2:10 back when we were just starting T6 content, and still wanting badges. We had a 54 second maiden kill I think

1 tank, 1 healer, 8 dps. One of the dps is a feral druid or warrior who can offtank on certain bosses. One of the dps is something that can heal decently. Then you chain pull.

My fastest was around crimson's some time ago with some t6 raiders warrior tank, no OT, 2 healers. I think 2:15 was the time.

Ive really wanted to try for a superfast kara clear. We have one of our CoH priests who is itching for a chance to solo heal and i think we will probably give a timed run a try. 1 T6 tank, 1 T6 healer, and 8 T6 dps should be able to crush that place pretty fast.

i think my fastest was in the order of ninety something minutes, that run we had a sub 50 s maiden (both groups had shamens)

we don't generally go with an ot.

for reference we can normally clear the 4th chest with something like 7 min up and are working on illidan.

My fastest run was 1:40 full clear with exception of basement with warrior M.T. (me) one resto shamy, and the rest dps we had a fury warrior O.T. when needed. we all have t5/t6 gear. with this group we where also getting a constant 3 chest in ZA we were working on the fourth but i had to deploy (still deployed /cry)!

My fastest clear was 1 hour 25 minutes (or there about)

all optionals.

Me tanking and resto druid solo healing and i just double tanked stuff and we blew them up with splash damage and AoE.

kinda sad that i dont have a WWS for it (didnt bother - only decided to make it a serious speed clear when we got nightbane down 24% each air phase, making him virtually land then take off again)

tips for group makeup:

Don't take a full melee group, just a rogue enh shaman (for tank WF) feral druid for LotP for the tank and melee (i know you already have WF but come on, who doesnt want a foldable offtank that never gets used that gives you a huge threat boost)

have 1 hunter but dont bother about EW - its just not worth it considering the DPS they put out at BM anyways. Get an elemental shaman totem twisting GoA and WoA (whatever the spell damage/healing totem is) dropped for the hunter. Mages are helpful as are warlocks.

shadow priests who arent afraid to chug mana pots on lower end content really make it much easier to chain pull. everyone else should be flexing their E-peen on a run like this and will automatically chug mana pots if thats what they have to do but the spriest takes the immediate edge off mana issues.

etc etc - im sure you can do the rest :P

Strange.

A friend of mine runs kara with his t6 friends sometimes. They never CC because anything CC-able pretty much dies by the time it reaches the party. They have one warrior tank, one paladin healer (him), and 8 dps. He positions himself ahead of the pulls so that when the last mob of the current pull is at a certain point, the tank intervenes to him to charge the next pull faster. He says he's never above 20% mana because he never gets to finish a drink.

With the same tank and healer, and probably the same dps people, they hit 4 chests in ZA with 20 minutes left on the timer.

And yet he says Kara takes him more than two hours? Maybe he's overestimating how long it takes him, if people here are doing 90 minutes and don't even get the bear mount.

A. The big fish that got away story.

B. How many breaks does your friend take? My guild does pulls very fast, but sits on its ass after boss fights.

4 Chests in ZA with 20 minutes left on the timer? So they do it in 25 mins?

I don't know, I've heard of groups doing it with more than 10 minutes but 20 mins sounds exaggerated.

A. The big fish that got away story.
This doesn't explain it. Irrespective of how many times the tank intervenes to pull faster, 2+ hours in kara and 4 chests + extra 20 minutes just doesn't jive with others' accounts here. I'm almost certain he's not mistaken about the 20 min timer thing.

They are OP, they send 2.5 people towards each animal boss and kill them all simultaneously

Sorry, bad joke.

If they are T6,a nd do ZA in that kind of time, than they are completely wrong about their kara time. My guild does it for badges, does not really rush, I am probably the gear leader with 1 whopping piece of T6, we bring 2 tanks and at least 2 healers, and we do it in like 2 hours 20 minutes. So if they are kicking Hyjal and BT's face in, and roflstomping for bear mounts, than they are not taking that long in kara unless they found the heroic mode we have all been looking for all this time
