| | | TPS on Brutallus
My Guild is currently working on Brutallus. While having the general overview of the fight down the dps is always finding themselves threat capped. With the gear I have as well as a consistent full bar of rage my rotation doesn't seem to cut it.
I have studied many videos on the fight. One of the videos was the Nihilum killing. Their War. Tank was kicking out a steady 2000tps. according to their omen on the fight.
So I'm looking for a few pointers.
Group make up.
Gear.
Rotation.
Anything to help the dps pump out more with out having to hold back.

Group makeup:
Include a shaman who can drop windfury totem
Feral druid for Leader of the Pack buff
Gear, expertise, hit, sbv are your primary threat stats in that order, to a lesser degree, ap, str, and crit.
Rotation: starting off you always want to dev, dev, dev, ss, rev, dev, dev, ss, rev, dev, dev and repeat. queue up heroic strike as much as you can (whenever you have over 50 rage, which I imagine on Brutallus is almost always), after you perfect the ss/rev/dev/dev rotation the only way to push your threat higher is to squeeze in more heroic strikes.

starting off on brut you want to wear more avoidance/mitigation/survival gear to help your healers out. the threat will be there as long as you maintain a good rotation and always have HS queued up, which really shouldn't be a problem 99% of the time.
if you find dps is riding your ass too hard and healers can keep you up fine, start swapping in some expertise/hit.
a resto shaman with windfury is enough for the tanks. glaive rogues will be able to push 2700+ dps safely, and locks around 2300-2400.

On brutallus you'll hardly have less than 100 rage, he hits so hard and so fast that your rage/mana is always 100% full.
For the shaman, i'd not recommend WF, unless your DPS are threat capped you should ask for Agi.
Our regular tank party is Feral Druid, Prot war, Resto shaman, 2x BM hunters (or 1 hunter and 1 dps war).
I severly doubt their tank was at 2k TPS, that's just ridicolously high, and Omen was still quite bugged back in first 2.4 days anyway. Should have been more like 1300-1400. (which allows for 2k+ DPS without threatcapping)

If you can include it in your raid setup, put an Enh Shaman in the tank party, so he can twist agi and WF and still perform very good in DPS.

Heroic strike every swing, makes a huge difference and your rage should always allow it. Apart from that, usual ss/rev/dev/dev, not like there's some special magical rotation. You shouldn't need any weird group makeup for the tank either really as long as you remember to hs every swing.
Also, if you're finding your dps still threatcapped, wear a faster weapon - switching from 1.6 to 1.4 or whatever on this fight will make way more difference than anywhere else; since you're meant to be spamming hs every single swing.

13-14 is normal for me on that fight.
As stated I seen the video and first thought came to mind is "Can 2ktps be done on this fight?"
Im sitting well rounded on Hit and expts. around 115-120H, 27Expts.
I do have H. Strike Qed for each swing with first rotation stated.
However as also stated My resto shama is dropping Agl.
My group make up is mostly healers while the bear tank and Enhance shama is with the melee.
The big question is "What can be switched into my group that will keep a balance between tps and not hurting the melee dps to much?"
