Looking to Prioritize Badge Loot Purchases

Hi all,

For the past few weeks I've been trying to run heroics, Kara and ZA as often as possible. I have 90 badges saved and have the option of:

A - gathering 10 more badges for Sunguard Legplates (100 badges)
B - buying Girdle of the Fearless (75 badges)
C - buying Iron Tusk Girdle (60 badges)
D - buying Bonefist Gauntlets (60 badges)
E - buying Brooch of Deftness (35 badges)
F - buying Bracers of the Ancient Phalanx (35 badges)
G - buying Sabatons of Righteous Defense (eww pally loot for 60 badges)
H - buying Blue's Greaves of the Righteous Guardian (eww more pally loot for 75 badges)
I - buying Ring of the Stalwart Protector (60 badges)

As you can see I got a lot of work and spending to do.

My gut instinct is pulling me in 2 different directions. First picking option A because its a big stam boost, armor boost, and a big defense/dodge rating boost. Secondly, I'm tempted to buy the brooch and the bracers since I've repeatedly encountered really, really, really bad miss/parry/dodge streaks on my attacks (highest is 14 swings consecutive), which is hurting my threat generation.

I think Vene's got the best suggestion of getting the [item]Girdle of the Fearless[/item] and the [item]Bracers of the Ancient Phalanx[/item] first, both are very nice threat/health/defense items all rolled up into one.

Also, ignore Deftness for now and pick up the SSO Amulet, it's just as good and doesn't cost those badges you could use on other things (like leggings!). If you are having hit rating issues, you have enough +def you can dump nightbane's shield for the SSO Exalted as well, you lose the def, but you get a little more hit rating squeezed in there.

Here is Vene's link on order and his justification The Badge Pick Order: 2.4 Edition - Warriors - TankingTips.com

I second Muggs.

Cross options C, G, and H off your list. G and H because you won't be wasting badges on pally loot, your boots can come from Kara (Battlescar or Elusion), H BF (Eaglecrest), or ZA (Jungle Stompers). Iron Tusk will never see play because you'll be wearing Fearless.

Thanks Gents. I picked up Fearless just after reading your posts. I already have Battlescar boots and I'm looking to upgrade beyond them. Waiting for a drop from the Bear boss is frustrating (it is really unfair they way blizzard rolled out the badge loot and ignored warrior tanking needs).

True, but at least they're awesome. And Blizz finally started putting blue sockets in the gear so I might see the occasional socket bonus. I waved goodbye to that concept a while back.

Good call on the Fearless. Get the bracers next imo.

0) Do SSO dailies and run magisters to get SSO exalted. Get the neck from them, it is roughly equal to the badge neck, thus saving 35 bages.
1) Girdle of the Fearless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11omg (and then dont get Iron tusk)
2) Bracers of Ancient Phalanx. Cheap and awesome.
3) Sunguard Legplates.

Neck, Belt, Bracers and Legs will all give you expertise, which is extremely important.

After that, the chest is great (around T5 equivalent), and the ring is also good.

Also, the badge pick order that was linked a few posts above is very good.

I was wondering if someone was able to help me as well. I'm stuck between the belt or the legs. I was planning to get the legs as im sick of looking at the ones i still have from curator lol. So should i go ahead and get the belt or save 20 more badges for the legs?

Irrelevant. Both are similar upgrades. You'll want both eventually. Get what you want. Matters not what order.

I was in a similar situation recently. Had the Moroes belt and the Curator legs. Both badge rewards are awesome upgrades. I opted for the legs first because there was a larger stat margin between the leggings than the belts. Could have gone the other way and been just as happy, 'cause now I need to save up another ~70 badges for the belt. IMO, save up and get the bigger purchase out of the way since you're already pretty close.
