what motivation is there to do the 25 man stuff when you can just as easily do the 10 man versions?
1) Preference: some people prefer the larger size, rather than the stripped-down feel of 10-man raiding. It's a bigger party!

2) Fight differences: larger raid means more room to toy with mechanics. Also with the increased iLvl, you can expect the devs to make the 25-man version of boss encounters more challenging, and more tightly tuned.

3) Prestige: the race to down bosses will be for the 25-mans. The 10-man versions won't be competitive due to the tuning, and the ability to outgear from 25-man version.

4) slightly better gear to use elsewhere: Solo grinds, dungeons, 10-man raids, PvP. Granted, PvP gear would in turn be better for that particular endeavor, but it's worth a mention.

If you end up running 10-mans and the above items don't strike your fancy, then be happy with your raid size. If instead, you're looking for that extra challenge, then perhaps 25-man raiding is for you?

Uh, well, there is a whole other camp that says "It's not the size, it's how you use it." If we are gonna do that lol. Seriously, just make 10 mans as perversely frustrating as 25 mans (may not be possible, since chance of getting a large number of face-rollers is lower when drawing from a pool of 10 instead of 25) :P
