He really has not maintained his original post very well at all and it has a lot of holes in it so I took it upon myself to fix it up. If you know of an item that is missing from this list please let me know via PM or post below and I will add it to the list.

I have edited a lot of the original post to include the new content from the 3.2 patch.

I had tried to start a new post about DK tank loot to get feed back going on what items people should start to focus on for DK's. Not everyone can take the time to go through the sites and look up all drops and compare them to make a comprehensive list of what is worth getting.

Now we have several badge items available and it's going to be tougher to decide if the emblem shoulders are more worth having then the tier gear etc. Same goes for the new crafted items vrs drops.

Yep, I agree with you. Its hard to decide when to break the set bonuses especially since I don't like the new set bonus's at all. I love having AMS as a mini cooldown.

I can confirm that the beasts encounter does drop a dreadscale armguards equivalent for horde, called Dreadscale Bracers, I have them on my DK Amaegeddon, I'll log off in my tank gear so you can see.

i was searching through armory for upgrades and pretty much all the new content's item's are now shown including items that drop from twin valkyr and also anub'arak. I think it's time we start working on a BiS effective health, avoidance and hit/expertise priority sets. One weapon i know will be popular for those wishing to replace Worldcarver (QQ bye bye expertise) will be Grievance: The World of Warcraft Armory
I beleive the other factions alternative to this weapon will be Catastrophe: The World of Warcraft Armory

Was looking over the list, nicely compiled. I think you're linking the wrong T9 pieces, however. You have the right name, but you're not linking the heroic versions of them (and I assume you're going for BiS) - for example - you have Koltira's Pauldrons of Triumph - Item - World of Warcraft - the heroic version, which is best in slot. Your list has Koltira's Pauldrons of Triumph - Item - World of Warcraft listed, which has 9 less Defense, Parry, and 7 less Hit, 9 less Strength, and 19 less Stamina, and 87 less armor. You'll notice the difference in the set names - one is Totally Triumphant Kolitra's Plate and one is Triumphant Kolitra's Plate.

All your tier pieces linked are the slightly lesser version, in fact.

The list isn't finished yet. And the list is sorted by iLevel. This is not a BiS list by any means. I do plan to make lists sorted by different priorities such as EH, Avoidance, and Hit/expertise for threat. However just getting the list with every possible tank item on it for DKs takes a long time. I had stopped at adding in all the badge loot and adding in loot that can currently be dropped by mobs. The set pieces you are looking at are from heroic mode. The ones I currently have listed are from normal mode.

I will most likely have time to add the rest of the bosses sometime this weekend and heroic versions as well. Many of the drops were not known as of this last weekend and I have not had time to check for new updates on the sites.

I loved Mouse's original list. For the hundreds or thousands that read that list, thank you Mouse. And thank you Kensu for updating it.

Having studied the list for the last hour, I realize you can get a whole set of tank gear that's generally better than naxx10 and ulduar10 by running Trial of the Champion on Normal and Heroic mode alone. I also see your missing this piece (heroic mode) from that instance for your neck: The Warlord's Depravity - Item - World of Warcraft.

Has anyone tried Sigil of Virulence - Item - World of Warcraft in a TPS scenario ?

I'm TPS oriented and im running with a blood build for MT duties but i find it a very boring spec to play with and miss frost tanking every day and i was curious if anyone gave it a try ?

What about the Champion's Seals items? The Greatsword of the Sin'Dorei is a pretty good 2 hand weapon, and I believe there's a tankish looking belt and necklace available from those as well. Just food for thought.
