It's on my PC : ]

Nah, BiS = not Naxx gear, BiS is cutting edge.

Send me a message here on the site if you really need the old list and I'll see if I can get it to you. Might not be the most updated version of the Naxx list however.

Picked up the Saronite Plated Legguards last night. Very cool. Up over 33k HP and 28k armor in my EH set now un-buffed with Devo up.

Hmmm, random drops are........ consistent? I got those last night too . Very nice legs and will likely serve me for a while as I have lots of priests and locks to compete with for my tier legs. I won't be wearing a skirt any time soon.

Yeah... I probably won't spend my Karma on the T8 legs for quite a while... Just too many other pieces out there to roll on.

Stick pls.
because there are so many gear guides, they aren't stickying them individually. You can go to the Best in Slot?! Tanking Gear List Compilation! link at the top of the Gear & Enchanting forum.

Thank you sir.

Feel free to direct any Paladin-based gearing questions to this thread as well. I will be watching the thread and replying to any questions/discussion I see.
Jayson - I have some questions regarding some of the MT designations.

Would we as paladins want to strive for the 4 pc set bonus - "SoR increases shield block value by 225 for the attack and 3 seconds thereafter"?

On the head slot you recommend MT'ing the piece to help with set bonuses. So I wonder which set bonus is key, 2 or 4?

And if we want to go for the 4 pc bonus, which piece would be better replaced as far as MT? Shoulders? Gloves? Pants?

Thanks in advance, and thank you for your time with this list. Coming from a Shammy all through UBRS to Naxxramas and making the move to Pally Tanking without people like you or this website alone would have made me rip my hair out.

Hey guys. I'm sorry I haven't been on much the last several weeks. This summer is kickin me in the shorts for busy. It looks like I'm going to have to archive the 10man listing for now. Perhaps when the next patch comes out I'll be able to get it done at that time.

To the question at hand! The T8 set bonuses suck. No not really... just in comparison to the god-like Warrior 4-piece. Our 4 piece is a solid threat upgrade, makes for an easy comparison to the Glyph of Blocking (which is kinda depressing tbh).

I personally plan to ignore the T8 set bonuses. I haven't run the math on the 4-piece vs. Str/Block stuff for threat, but to me it isn't worth the Karma and I'd rather see it in my healing priests' hands. I merely stated that for the benefit of those who do plan to get the set.

If I ever do happen to get the set and decide to shoot for the 4-piece in an MT-type set, I'll drop the shoulders. Block rating and Value in tandem are not Ulduar MTing stats.

Hi Jayson,

First thing thank you so much for putting together this gear guide, it's been like a bible to me and i know exactly which pieces to strive for. You also value hit in a similar mentality to myself, so thanks heaps.

Major question i have at the moment for you, is how well the Bulwark of Algalon matches up to the Boreal Guard?

Hi Jayson,

Thank you for the list. One question though : why is expertise rated so badly on your guide? It seems to me that expertise rating ,before 214, ranks along hit as the top threat stat over strength.

***Nvm, found my answer ***

Changes to paladin tanking = changes to bis?

So with the upcoming 3.2 changes to block rating. im wondering if thats going to change some of the BiS gear? Should i be grabbing more shield block now?

First off, thanks for the continued support in my absence guys. Makes me wish I had more time to keep up on this. Thanks to Utz for getting me to take the time to check it this week heh.

I honestly hadn't seen that shield yet (shows how much time I've been spending on WoW out of raid). I added it to the main listing. Not quite as high EH as the Boreal Guard, but still the better shield overall.

Assuming the patch note I read are accurate, the changes to block gear will make it more valuable in a raid-boss setting, but the principle of weak-hitting boss/block value, hard-hitting boss/avoidance will still stand. The difference will be the threshold of weak - hard. The changes to BV gear will significantly raise the amount of damage can be considered a "weak" attack. I will say, if Ulduar trash holds true, BV gear should be very viable for tanking this, even in the release stage of 3.2.

Yeah was wondering where these were.
Greaves of the Iron Army - Item - World of Warcraft
Always considered them BiS even ahead of the crafted feet because of those wonderful 2xBlue Sockets, +9 Stam Bonus and 50 Defense Rating.

Hey all. Lookin forward to 3.2! Hopefully I'll be settled into this new job a bit better and be able to get the 10man list back goin for that patch as well as update the 25man.

Yeah Daereg, those actually are pretty nice. Right now, Spiked Deathdealers are still tops. More Str (more threat/block) and more avoidance. At this point, I am also wearing a Prismatic gem in that Yellow slot, meaning, in essence, that they are higher stamina. Greaves of the Iron Army would look better were I not a JCer or if they had already instituted the Prismatic removal. As is, they are still great Stam boots either way.

The Libram of Obstruction will be best for boss fights after today, since they buffed the duration to 10 secs. so its up all the time, Libram of the Sacred Shield got buffed to 20 secs. but if you use the correct rotation obstruction gives more SBV

til we get the new badge librams of course

not sure how the SBV libram matches up for threat with this but doesn't it look sexy

The consecrate one I use for fights where I do a lot of aoe.(sarth 3d, thorim arena)
