That's alot of farming sely :P but yeah it does help doing 10 man alot as well as 25 man. Especially with alot of undergeared people who are doing 25 man that would help them alot as well . I'm just hoping we can get enough people geared up in time for ulduar, but being in a "casual" raid guild will make it a bit tougher i think. Anyways thanks for the input and positive feedback guys

Block Value / Block rating are king for zerging lowbie stuff.

If you are looking at Lvl 70 instances, a Block Rating + Block Value set will serve you well as far as not-dying goes. Anything lower than that (save solo raids) you can really wear just about whatever you want, heck, put a few Holy pieces on to make your consecrate hit for more if that floats your boat.

I've started work on the Ulduar 25 post. It is looking like the patch may hit this Tuesday, April 14th. I am basing my initial information on MMO-Champion's gear listing. Hopefully have it ready to go by next week sometime.

Stay tuned!

Hey guys,

Thanks for the support thus far. Got the Ulduar 25 listing finished ahead of schedule (how often does that happen?). Updated onto page 1. Check it out!

With Ulduar listed...

If you find new pieces of gear that you think might apply, feel free to message me with the information. Remember though, this is a BiS guide, so crappy itemization need not apply.

I'll be updating my list at Maintankadin this weekend, but [The General's Heart] (From General Vezax in Heroic Ulduar) just got beat out by the recently discovered [Furnace Stone] from Ignis in normal Ulduar. The proc on General's just isn't as good as the on-use armor (especially because if you check the wowhead link for the proc on General's, it's capped at 5200 damage).

Very interesting Petrus. Thanks for the information, hadn't seent that yet.

I totally agree that the Furnace Stone is better than the silly General's Heart trinket. A better (and controllable) proc, compared to a weaker proc, 2 more dodge, and inability to control when you get the extra survivability.

Started on my 10man listing, I don't expect to be done though for at least a week, been busy lately.

*Bump*

Added the very nice Royal Seal of King Lane to the trinket section.

Note: This CD may actually stack with the CD on the Heart of Iron, which would make it just that much nicer to have them both in an EH set...

The craftable belt and boots are better threat than alternatives because they have such high Strength. They beat hit/expertise gear.

The craftable belt and boots are better threat than alternatives because they have such high Strength. They beat hit/expertise gear.
Let's take a look at the Indestructible Plate Girdle (your recommendation) vs the Dragonslayer's Brace (my Threat recommendation piece) as the crafted at this slot is stronger (comparatively) than the crafted boots.

If you gemmed for Strength only, you would be looking at 116 Str, against 84 Str and 68 BV. BV is worth about 2/3 of the threat that Str is. So in this case, the BV piece is roughly 11% better for threat than the Crafted... even if you put 2 Bold gems in it.

If you are referring to specifically the pieces that I list as T with hit on them, you can check the discussion here to see why Hit pieces are listed (this is also referenced in the comments under the Legend section of the guide). But for the sake of arguement... let's compare the belt slot again. Indestructible Plate Girdle vs Shieldwarder Girdle. Let's assume intelligent gems in the Indestructible this time (not the ridiculous Str gems in a piece that costs 4-5k gold to craft on my server), Solid/Sovereign. So we have 92 Str vs 57 Str, 56 Hit. Those 2 values are fairly similar really. Pieces with Hit on them are still good, even ignoring the consistancy of pull threat.

As far as Expertise goes, here is a quote from the OP, "Yes... expertise sucks for Paladins." It's actually getting slightly better, but... that doesn't mean much when it was somewhere down near SP as a T stat in the past. Not a single Expertise piece was recommended for Threat.

Thanks for stoppin' by.
