Trinkets, What would you go with?

I've been working with trying to figure out what trinkets to use.

Been trying to play test them all, finding out what works best with my play style.

My current trinket set is Valor Medal of the First War - Item - World of Warcraft | Repelling Charge - Item - World of Warcraft

I also have the Essence of Gossamer - Item - World of Warcraft | Essence of Gossamer - Item - World of Warcraft | Figurine - Monarch Crab - Item - World of Warcraft

I found that the repelling was an overall larger passive increase over the Rune. Netting about .6% Dodge and .6% Parry (even though I'm substantially over 540, at around 566-568 depending on flask) over the .8% Parry. However, with the activate for a last standish ability, and generally prefer it over meager couple of % parry from the rune. I at times far it hard to manage so many CDs, and always try to look for some passive trinkets, which are few and far between.

My next great idea. Was to try and playtest Darkmoon Card: Greatness - Item - World of Warcraft or Darkmoon Card: Greatness - Item - World of Warcraft

I've yet to find a reliable resource, I may not be looking hard enough, of the effective agi:dodge ratio for a DK, but I'm guessing it would be much that of warriors, which means the AGI trinket might not be the best choice. The Str, turns into AP and Parry which is delicious and the proc equates to more than equip bonus on the Rune is, +600 more AP, yay TPS.

I guess I'm looking for opinions, it seems like a solid choice, since there's no way in heck I'm going to drop below the "defense cap". Has anyone tried play testing it and could possibly offer some kind of opinion?

As a DK tank, I use the Monarch Crab and the Ruby Hare socketed with parry/stam gems. Considering the socket bonus of 9 stam, that's a good 95 stam and 16 parry rating, compared with the 111 stam and chance to proc of the Essence of the Gossamer.

My Gossamer, Valor Medal, and Repelling Charge are banked atm, but I'll probably start carrying them in my bags as a fight-to-fight thing.

Typically, I tank everything with the Crab and Hare though.

I *was* using Gossamer beforehand, but Loot Rank for WotLK seemed to think Hare was a bit better, and since resocketing and giving it a shot, I'd have to agree.

When time/money allows, I plan to get the +str Greatness card to replace the Hare with. I doubt the crab will get replaced anytime soon.

As a non-jewelcrafter I'm highly limited in my trinket options. I have no badges to buy Valor Medal. I'm currently using level 70 trinkets. And not good ones at that.

Trinkets are one of the hardest things to replace in Wrath. Hoping to do so soon.

I use repelling charge and the crab for just about everything. I never bothered to farm for the essence as I was using the ruby hare prior to that. Ill bust out the hare for a stam fight if needed (its sockected for stam and stam/def).

I have yet to pick up the badge trinket as I dont really feel I need more avoidance at this point and the clickys are pretty much the same. So id be trading about 90 stam for 84 dodge, meh IMO. The parry trinket in Naxx 25 is just fail and we have dubbed it the "achievement" trinket. I think a priest got it last week :P

I use Greatness/Crab, and Greatness/Mirror. Thinking about switching to Greatness/Grim Toll (when it drops again).

After having a chance to main tank every encounter 10/25 in Wrath, I have found 2 reliable trinket set ups as a Warrior and a non-jewel crafter. I typically act as a hateful tank or OT for Patchwerk.

Patchwerk Set Up (10/25):
- Repelling Charge - Item - World of Warcraft
- Valor Medal of the First War - Item - World of Warcraft

Standard (all boss) Set Up (10/25):
- Repelling Charge - Item - World of Warcraft
- Essence of Gossamer - Item - World of Warcraft

Until they release the new content patch Ulduar I doubt I will change these at all.

It is very fight specific. I would use goss and crab for soaker fights while I would use the crab and RC for mitigation fights.
