Ok..Lately it seems like my guild cant really get a KZ Raid off the floor much at all..Raid leader being sick, her kids too, people not showing up..ect..But I want to upgrade my Jade Skull breast plate to something else that will suffice till either Nightbane drops his (doubtful as another tank would roll for it and chances of winning..not good Blizz hates me for rolls)

Decent / passable till I get the Nightbane peice? Better threat and could add a crap ton of Stam to the thing.


And I hear that I should get Chestguard of the Stoic Guardian - Items - World of Warcraft
even though it has the +spell damage , its still a good tanking chest, eh? but not sure if I should get it or not.

Both would be nice upgrades for you. If you can, grab the Stoic Guardian chest and you will be set in that slot for awhile.

I don't know what your other gear looks like but all I can say is that stoic Guardian chest piece is amazing. You may want to pick up one or two other badge pieces before getting it though. TankingTips.com - A guide to tanking as a Warrior in World of Warcraft has a good breakdown of badge gear to get.

I would say get the glad chest and gem it for tanking for now. Then when you get the pally chest you can re gem your glad chest for pvp.

oh and 1 last thing. If you happen to get nightbanes chest the pally chest will just get moved down on the badge purchase order. (but not removed from it IMO)

I found the S2 Gladiator BP to be great for tanking until I got my T4 chest. If you have good enough avoidance for it, the S1 BP is not a bad piece at all.

If you have the badgers, go for the Stoic Guardian indeed. It's better than the Panzar'thar from NB and also better than T4 from Magtheridon if you ask me. You won't be replacing it until you get the one from Zul'jin or T5 from Kael'thas.

Yeah definately gonna go for a buncha the badge stuff when I get more. Lately been farming for the guild bank's raid stuff of what I can. (Herbs for Pots, Enchant mats, Mining/engineering stuff, whatever I can find.) Inbetween running Heroic Instances when I can find groups for them or wrangle guildies into going.

I'm about to get the Stoic from the badge guy after getting every other tanking item, and even some DPS gear.

Question for ya, I currently use the Panzar'thar for all tanking I do (kara, some ZA, Gruul), do you think it's worth using the Stoic for anything other then new encounters? I hate to lose more sbv, and this item doesn't add anything for threat.

I just got my [item]Panzar'thar Breastplate[/item] to drop but i am currently using [item]Merciless Gladiator's Plate Chestpiece[/item] with 3+12 stams in it. The pure hp/armor values you get from it are amazing, the resilience saves you from sub 490 defense troubles you might have, and it has great +hit/crit/str for threat. I say if you can spare some arenas every week grab this badboy, or better yet, the s3.
