About Us:
Ascendant is a
progression-based raiding guild located on the Archimonde server (US-PvP).
We formed as Exiled on the Aerie Peak server after TBC was released to provide a stable raiding base for Karazhan and grew into the #1 raiding guild Horde-side (and arguably on the server). We killed every boss in every instance that The Burning Crusade had to offer, (including many server firsts in Sunwell Plateau)
and we have also cleared all pre-3.0.8 WOTLK content.
We have a stable mix of long time members and newer faces, but our team is very strong and the guild meshes well. We pride ourselves on our proven ability to knock down content with a relatively casual raiding schedule (4 days/week @ 3.75 hours/day = 15 raiding hours/week).
The Goal: We come prepared. We play hard but work even harder. Bosses fall over.
Raid Schedule (PST):
Sunday: 8:15pm-Midnight
Monday: 8:15pm-Midnight
Wednesday: 8:15pm-Midnight
Thursday: 8:15pm-Midnight
NOTE: This means raids end at 3:00am if you live on the East coast. We offer different raid times than the majority of US guilds and offer a terrific environment for people who require a later start time! Current Progression:
All 25-man content pre-Ulduar has been cleared including 3D Sartharion, Glory of the Raider, and Heroic: Glory of the Raider. Ascendant's current focus is farming 25-man instances for gear upgrades and preparing for Ulduar.

We were tied for the 39th US "Twilight Zone" kill and the 30th US "You Don't Have an Eternity" kill - we are vying to become even more competitive.
Server first kills and bleeding edge progression are important to us. Ascendant prides itself on exceptional play, specifically, efficient downing of farm encounters; we hold several world top 25 WWS record parses. As Ulduar was released we were ranked #71 US, #189 World.
Expectations:
1) You keep up with current class mechanics and theory crafting for your class. The forums on this site are a good place for this.
2) You're on time to raids and ready to go with full consumables.
3) You maintain an 85% attendance rate at a minimum.
4) You appropriately research each encounter we are working on and the role your class needs to fill. This is extremely important; we will not hold hands.
5) You show up to our raids with the most effective talent spec possible for your class/role and your gear has optimal enchants and gems.
6) Upon applying you put forth a large effort writing your application. Don't do it while at work, and don't half-ass it. We will be going over it with a fine-tooth comb.

We have members with every trade skill so if you need enchants, gems cut, or consumables made you will simply need to have the necessary materials. We supply many of the materials for enchants, however.
Ascendant uses a customized version of the
EPGP loot system.
Do NOT apply if:
* You do not have extensive raid experience.
* You cannot think independently and on the fly.
* Anyone has called you "emo" in the past.
* You are not absolutely certain that you are an ass kicker at playing your class.
To put it plainly, if you know you aren't qualified don't waste your time or ours.

We are looking for applicants who are constant over-achievers - people who are dedicated, reliable, don't take themselves too seriously, and have a great personality. You need to have multiple WWS reports or evidence of prior play for us to consider you. If your WWS reports have expired or are otherwise unavailable to you due to extenuating circumstances this will be discussed in detail if we interview you. How to Apply:
