Source: Stearns My initial raid experiences have been that there really is no preference for tanking classes... I cant see anything special that one class is now doing, that another couldnt do as well, in a different (sometimes!) way.

I tanked with both a warrior and a druid over the last 3-4 days, and both were a lot of fun, and I was able to AOE tank easily with both. You did have to position a bit quicker with druid so you could use swipe, while with warrior you could tclap early, and then position for Shockwave, but, that's just a detail.

OK, first tanking session done.

We went BT and just had enough time for one try at Illidan.
First thing to be said is imo it's way to easy now. I was bored just watching the bosses drop like flies.
Yes the damage output and new talents are great fun and i love them but i wanted to be using them on something a little more challenging. Fingers crossed it gets a lot tougher as we move into the Lich King content.
I guess we need to move on into The Sunwell and try that for size. Although i hear that even very green guilds are stepping inside and walking through the first 4 bosses.

Looking at my damage last night i was dissapointed and im putting it down to getting used to the lack of a rotation and that i have not regemmed or changed enchants on any gear as yet.
Tbh i think i was kind of overgeard as i didn't feel in danger of dying at all.
Reaching crit immune with full FR proved a little tough though .
So if any of you guys have any tips on what gems and enchants you have gone with and what how far down the dps route you have gone after Def caps reached i'd be interested to know .
