Just hit 80 today on my DK, and well always wanted to try my hand at tanking. So I purchased a few pieces and tried my hand at reg toc. All I have to say is I wish I would of started tanking earlier. All in all it went well, really didnt have no aggro problems. Only problem is was they paired me with a bad healer who didnt even want to heal it , still tho only one wipe. I have tried to read what I can on here but if there is any fundamentals I need to know id love to hear them. btw best time I have in wow so far

Yeah, tanking's a whole new game. Many of us DK's are getting into it for the first time, and lack the advantage of having tanked instances and raids all the way from lvl 1, so alot of catching up to do.

Best thing you can do is read all the guides here, watch Tankspot's video guides to tanking (Esp Movement & Positioning, Awareness & Camera Control), read the Elitist Jerks DK FAQ and the Ensidia DK tank guide.

Best advice I can give, and I don't mean to be come across as curt - I'm acutally dead serious - is: TANK, TANK, TANK AND TANK SOME MORE. PuG anything you can get into, you'll learn more in PuGs then anywhere, the reason being the variety in quality will teach you skills. There's no substitute for doing.
