| | | Death Knight blogs.... where are the good ones?
I'd love to add a few DK blogs to google reader (ftw) but most that I've found have been all but abandoned (skeletonjack.com). Deathknight.info just re-posts blue posts from mmo when it relates to death knights. Others like me and my ghoul, the stoppable force, deathcoil.org are rarely updated.
My question for this community: are there any quality DK blogs? (Something akin to what boomkins have at Gray Matter.)

You can judge mine for yourself. I'm pretty happy with it and enjoy writing.
I don't know of any other DK tanking blogs; would be interested to know too.

Death Knightery is becoming old news. Though it seems odd that there'd be no community following, since most every other does. Perhaps the old voices have just gotten tuckered out on DK's from playing them so incessantly.
I expect in time new, more reliable sources will come and set up shop. =)

Ah, thanks gravity... I'll add that one. And Satorri, I still say that all your juicy posts need to be organized on a blog somewhere. They're good not only for DKs but for raid leaders, healers of DKs and other tanking brethren.

I agree. I have actually taken (with permission) a few Satorri posts as guest onto pwnwear.

Gravity has a solid blog, great material there. I highly recommend it to DK's and anyone in a leadership position.
I've been honored to be a guest author there.

It's possible the class is too new and just hasn't formed the kind of community, esprit de corps, personal investment and identification w/ their class/toon that the older classes have. It seems most dk's are either noob or pro, and the latter seek out info here, at EJ, wowhead, or perhaps the wow official forums. And most of the former don't read anything at all. My impression so far anyway.

I found a more DK blogs, not all are very active, but they're alive at least: Death Goddess (particularly good) Me and My Ghoul Plagued Candles
Runeforge Gossip [just quit in Dec 09] 2fps (not exclusively DK) The Stoppable Force (seems to be mostly DK, only found it yesterday) ThinkTank (general tanking, many classes covered)
pwnwear (already linked to earlier)
As admin/mod on deathknight.info I'm now also trying to get some new bloggers active, using a community approach rather than just a single voice.
Likewise, guest bloggers always welcome on pwnwear on tanking or leadership.
I like to follow any tank blogger on Twitter too, and have a few followed already.

In looking recently for more dps/DK-oriented sites, I haven't found much either. I'm sure we're all aware of Lichborne on Wow.com, so there's that, but not much, especially for those of the dps persuasion.

I find wow.com's Lichborne pretty much like last weeks' news.

I've toyed with a bit of a blog idea when I used to really push hardcore raiding.
The problem is this: It takes energy to update a blog weekly. Energy that i didn't have back then and I still don't have now.
A lot of people don't realize that a blog takes a constant stream of thoughts and ideas to be sustainable. Some people simply get tired of playing their death knight and want to try the other classes out which is the big thing with WoW: other classes are easily accessible and not a time sink (as much as other mmos) to level and explore.
Because of this, people simply do not enjoy the idea of staying with one character at all times. I know that myself, I do like exploring other options so I can get a full grasp of the game and state that I've truly done everything. And in retrospect, I have; I've tanked, healed and DPS'ed. But to do this, I had to learn the class and in that area, it became my timesink.
People don't update blogs because of a few reasons:
a) Information becomes stale or nonchanging: This means simply that they don't have much to report about the class itself and that they really don't have much to talk about which would be blog worthy. I would much rather have a blog that informs me of new things and ideas than to rehash the same ideas over and over. It just gets bland and boring and people begin to think that the author has run out of ideas.
b) Interest is lacking in the blog: The author can start having other things in life that come into the way of the blog, as a blog tends to be the last thing on people's list of 'to do'. As such, if anything that comes into their lives tends to be more important, the blog is usually the first to go.
With many people having different opinions, one of the glaring problems with a blog is that not everyone will agree with your opinions. Particularly with WoW, there is a huge fanbase of people that simply don't want to believe in the right answer and that their methods work. Arguing semantics with people tends to be energy draining and moreso downright irritating and as such, people really don't wanna deal with the hassle of a blog.
In the end, I just chose not to write too many blogs. I wrote a bit when I first started raiding but I simply came to the conclusion that either people don't care and will read other things instead, or people will love to argue your points and simply infuriate you. That's probably why you don't find great blogs nowadays, and if you do, it goes on for a bit before they disappear.
