| | | You are the awesomeness!
Ok, well I saw the awesome picture on the home page here at tankspot.com and I couldn't resist but to click and read every last post! I'm seriously glad they accepted you.. I was a little sad during my reading when those wanna be lawyers tryed to ruin our fun but you pulled threw for all of us!
Now I must say.. You did me a major favor! You see.. I have trouble with my wife and wow. She hates the fact that I'm so into it.. I mean she still let's me play and let's me enjoy myself without going all lawyer on me but she dosent really enjoy friday night Naxx runs lol. So when I came up onto this threat I showed her and quoted what you posted at the beginning "Some guys want jeeps and yada yada.. this is what I'm into" so now it seems ok =). and she understands my point and things are a lot better so to you sir I say Ty. I tryed to get her to let me get a sword or something.. but that was pushing it lol.
Anyways I enjoy this threat a lot and I don't usually respond I just read but I had to let you know how awesome this is! Ty hope you enjoy your project and get tons of attention at blizcon. Wish I could be there to check it out... but I can't =/ so make sure to keep us posted! Thx again!
Edit: P.S could you guys imagine making a Lich King armor set =O!

First off, I'm not in disagreement. I do need to go to the gym. I've gotten pretty flabby since I left the Marines. However, if I can carry all of my gear & a combat load for an M16 and the 240G out to post (probably a good mile hike), I promise I'll have no trouble carrying around 200 lbs of gear well balanced around my body for most of the day. | I think you are forgetting what carrying all that gear was like. How sweaty and tired were you after carrying that stuff around? You want to be comfortable.
Having the gear spread out on your body does have benefits, but also negative aspects. From the not-physically-conditioned aspect, you would be better off carrying it all in one place, like you would a ruck sack. With gear spread out, your back doesn't work as hard, but now your limbs all have weight added to them, which significantly increases the work done with each movement. There is a reason that people go running with ankle-weights and dumbells. Walking around the show is like walking a few miles, easy. And several hours straight of wearing gear is quite an endurance test.
On the other hand, I don't think there is really much you can do about it, either. The gear is already being made in a way to conserve weight. The best you can really do is try to condition yourself to wearing it / carrying the load, and try to be smart about how you go around in the show. All I'm getting at is that wearing this much gear is not going to be anything like your experience in the Marines (and I know that my experience in the military was nothing like wearing armor that I have worn, either).

Tbh, I was more impressed by the neckbeard. | It's one of the best I've seen as well. Second only to Nick Thompson's neckbeard. |

Hey man the design looks great! I am a blacksmith, jeweler and leatherworker myself. I have been wanting to make the Litch Kings armor and weapon, as well as a few others! Yes I am also a WoW head, but I have done a few pieces in leather for EA games Warhammer online. Here are a few pics of me and a couple of my pieces! |

Simply amazing. Kudos to you and the company that's making it for you.
Since first reading your thread I've fantasized about doing the same with my paladin's Tier 6 and 7.5 armor (gogo Pally Ranger!) with holy or ret weapons (not much of a pally tank). I've started tanking with my death knight lately and while the 7/7.5 gear is nice, the model for 8 seems like it would rock in real life. I just picked up Armageddon, too, and I could only imagine how bad ass a real life version of that would look...
Off Topic: I couldn't help but notice you're located in SD? I'm a Chula Vista resident! What part are you in?

Makes sense. By the way, props for having a very understanding and supportive wife. If only my girlfriend could get into WoW or be less of a pain about me raiding twice a week...

Not to brag about my wife, but she's the best ever! I seriously get about 5-7 hours/day of play time if I want it. She gets up at 6am, feeds our baby & gets ready for work. I sleep until about 9am then I wake up & wake the baby up. From about 9am - 11am I do house chores & play with the baby. From about 11am - 1pm he sleeps so I get about 2 hours of game time. Around 1pm, the baby wakes up and I have to tend to his needs until about 4pm when the wife gets home. She's usually so excited to see the baby I can get in an hour or two while she eats & plays with him. After that, we have family time until about 10pm when she goes to bed. From 10pm - 3am I play. I get about 6 hours of sleep each night unless I'm tired, then I will go to bed early. On class nights, I go to school from 6pm - 10pm then I come home and play since the wife's in bed.
It's really awesome to have such a supporting wife. I think it also helps that we have the computer & the TV in the same room so when I'm playing it's almost as good as when we hang out & watch TV together.

Just curious, what part of Chula Vista? | San Miguel Ranch, right next to Rolling Hills. Eastlake area, if you're not familiar.

It's going to be a while before anything gets made. We're still on hiatus. The armorer had to attend a workshop here in the states. That will take about a week. After that, we're waiting until I finish moving to Chicago (July) before we refire the forge.
