I want to see a shield slam crit on Curator in Evocation or Heroic Mech with 3 damage buffs with all that haha.

Sort of on topic, but no screen shot so you'll just have to trust me. Not really expecting to, I got a 35k+ SS (non-crit). This was raid buffed pre-3.0. The situation was Razuvious, after he dies and all the adds gain that debuff. I turned and shield slammed the mob and thought I saw 35k. It was only while clearing trash later scrolling through my combat log that I noted that it was actually over 35k damage, non-crit.
If you want the record, I recommend setting that up, and using real BV gear, with death wish or impale.

The only buffs I used apart from regular raid buffs was just the two BV trinkets.

| You do realize that the Death Knight understudies get a debuff that significantly increases their damage intake after Instructor Razovious (I'm sure I didn't spell that right) dies?

Yeah, I was just mentioning the buffs used on my behalf and not about the added damage adds take when Razuvious dies.

What kind of block values are you guys using to get these massive numbers? I've been saving BV gear ever since I saw Xav's crit on the target dummy for 14k+, and with everything I have to increase value popped, I'm only at like 1700 block, though I just got enough badges last night for auto-blocker.
I realize some of these are high end raid geared people, and a few of them are in special situations, but I was hoping I could at least get into the high 4-digit range. Best has only been about 4k though.

I think my BV set for the 14k target dummy was 3k with SB up and trinkets popped. That's not as high as it could be, that's for sure. I just had a death wish spec, imp disarm, etc.

My SBV set (which is not def capped so I pretty much use it for grinding or chasing big SS numbers in PvP) has 1372 SBV passive which ramps up to 3563 with Shield Block and both Trinkets popped. I could probably eek out another 30 or so passive SBV if I re-enchanted and gemmed specifically for it but I can't be bothered.
The only other way for me to go higher is to get some Sunwell gear (the gear doesn't include 4pc T6 bonus).
I should note I've never broken 5 figures on those test dummies yet (you also can't proc Imp Def Stance off them).

I didn't screenshot this because I was laughing too hard and forgot. Wasn't a record by any means anyway though. The story goes:
I found another alliance rogue in AV who was after the Sickly Gizelle achievement in the Field of Strife (you can probably see where this is going). Anyway, I waited for him to pick a mark with low health and drop his Cheap Shot.
Meanwhile, I spammed my macro which popped the Coin and the Autoblocker, cast Shield Block, switched to Zerker stance and finally cast Recklessness... then hit the mark with a Charge and Shield Slam, which crit for about 7k - laying the guy out flat, as the rogue and I both get the "vwazompfh" Achievement sound effect.
I'd been trying for about 7 games to pull this off - the problem was that my mark always got away after the charge before I could hit it. The one time I did pull it off on a lv 65 with about 5k health, I had forgotten to switch to my SBV set, and he survived to ride away with about 500 hp.
I feel redeemed now, however.

full stack of sunders, both block trinkets, and shield block buff. wearing mostly ZA gear 5.1k on HH last night. i will check to see if i have a parse for it tonight... i forgot to SS it.

So I wasn't even trying to get a record or anything, but just running heroic MgT since it was the daily. I let the prot pally (yes, someone who didn't spec ret!) tank while I dps'd in fury gear most of the run but put on SS gear and ate flares for Vexallus.  Full Size
I think I ended up taking 6 of the flares. If I actually tried, I bet my guildies would let me take double the flares (and of course, using shield wall/last stand to take the damage) in order to get a 50k+ crit. The World of Warcraft Armory
Is my current SS set. Just under 1200 unbuffed passive SBV.

lol, yeh against bosses you can hit some pretty insane numbers do to buffs and debuffs.
while solo'ing strat yesterday I broke the 5k mark finally, woot. And rescued that quest chick (too bad I didn't have the quest =()
