Frost Tanking Buil

So I just started my DK and I am pushing him to 80 where I want him to MT in frost. I made this build Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft, any suggestions?

Put those 5 points in Killing Machine into Blood of the North. The Blood Runes becoming death runes helps with Blade Barrier rotation and once Howling Blast comes off cooldown it lets you toss another. While tanking you generally do not have alot of crit, and I'm not sure if Killing Machine can proc off Rune Strike (which replaces your auto/white attacks) so you really won't see alot of killing machine procs.

You could also remove 1 or 2 points in 2 hand specialization (frost can rely more on their spells to keep threat)and maybe put them into Chill of the grave (2) / death chill (1).

Send a message via MSN to Worldie
Killing Machine is quite useless if you don't DW.

Before getting converted to the evil side (aka, DW-tanking) i've been running with this:
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
which worked quite fine.
Then i realized i don't like blood of the north at all

i find Killing Machine quite helpful more so than annihilation, a lot more, but I also rotate DnD into my Tanking rotation. It helps me push 6k tps on my fights easy. so I use a little more unorthodox tanking build of Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft but if you rotate a DnD in there every 2 rotations you should have it easy as far as holding threat goes. due to this DnD rotation i never have free runes to waste on an Oblit, which does less threat than a DnD anyway.

As a 2H frost tank, i find that a build like this is a good all-purpose tanking build.

Frost Spec

Hello there, I havent been reading tankspot a very long time but I have been playing since beta. I saw your question about a frost spec and I wanted to share mine with you that plays wonderful. One of the ideas of this spec is the frost strike is to be used as an attention grabber or if you are full rune power to just not let it overfill and waste the power.

I will be happy to show you my rotation if you would like just let me know.

Here is my Armory Link and I am always welcome to input from Tankspot people due to you guys are wonderful and I always learn something when I am here.

Frost tank

Hey, my main is a DK frost tank, having tried all other specs i found frost to be easiest and have better (oh crap im about to die) abilities... like unbreakable armour.
Here is my build Armoury I find it easy to tank with and even though i only tank heroics atm, i've heard from people with a similar build that say its good for 25 mans.

As a side note, since this has been dug up and some of the responses are extremely dated:

Killing Machine is no longer a proc-on-melee crit, and has been made to a PPM limit. That means its value for a 2h Frost tank is pretty substantial now.

(just in case anyone wasn't sure and came here for some info =D)
