seems they lowered the mitigation on IBF even further from the potential 20% + Defense to 15% + defense. The bonus armor on items not being multiplied by frost presence/dire bear etc is not as big a deal.

I have to say I'm disappointed with frost presence getting changed as well... DKs who are packing Defender's Code, Keystone Great-Ring and the like are going to see relatively little armor improvement.

I don't have a defender's code yet, but if I did, this patch would make my armor go up by all of 750.

Will the warrior talent Vitality now give us miners an extra 3 stam from the toughness buff now that the changed it to +stam rather than +health ?

3/3 Vitality = +6% stam + 6% strength....

Errant, this isn't as big of a deal as you think, it's just like when bear's got their armor trinkets removed from the multiplier. Armor gear is STILL good, it's just not ridiculously best in slot just because it has armor anymore. This opens up your gearing options.

I never said it was a big deal, I said it was a disappointment. Gain 750 armor and lose 20% or so on defensive CDs. =/

:T well blizz will equal it out, they definitely aren't trying to make you worse tanks, they want to make it so your less dependent on CDs.

Bonus Armor: The mechanics for items with bonus armor on them has changed (any cloth, leather, mail, or plate items with extra armor, or any other items with any armor). Bonus armor beyond the base armor of an item will no longer be multiplied by any talents or by the bonuses of Bear Form, Dire Bear Form, or Frost Presence.

Are these various trinkets and such effected by most of the tanking classes Toughness talents? (15% bonus for dks and 10% for war/plds) If so this will effect all tanking classes.

How about in the GC post on the main page with the new Runeforging enchant, does it give Defense _rating_ or Defense itself? 25 straight Defense would be amazing, thats all I would need to do to hit the defense cap.

It is 25 defense skill, not rating. Its confirmed by GC somewhere on the tanking forum, take my word for it ;P

There's the pally taunt. The other thing I'm waiting to see is the DK sigils...

Paladin: Shield of Righteousness now properly shares a cooldown for both ranks.

I was pretty stoked when the TG penalty was lowere to S%. I wonder if they really will remove it altogether. I don't see a need to though I wouldn't mind not having to stack extra hit. Having done the work to get the hit and seeing its not as difficult as everyonce feared makes me almost not care. I reckon though it'll free up some itemization for the 'funner' stats.

I tried fury PvP pre-expansion and found it to be less viable than arms. I'll have to DL the PTR and test out these changes. I don't know if these out weigh the great PvP arms talents.

tg is still bad for pvp, just less bad.

and the 5% hit being removed doesnt matter, you still need a good amount of hit to maintain your rotation and have rage to dump on HS.
