I probably won't be able to get a lock and 2 mages or some such from my DPS and I'm too chicken of going full DPS gear so I'll definitely be slower but the concept is the same....def gonna be doing some of this and having a good time.

Thanks for the guide, will be very helpful. I plan to just instance 70->80 and quest for money later. Not certain who the assorted reputations I'll want will get up there but that'll get sorted out. Thanks!

Quick question.
What is the average time to get from 70-80 using the instance? if you had to guess
I checked the link but i didn't see any times listed.

I checked the link but i didn't see any times listed. | So many variables.....
Its a less annoying method that's going to initially be much faster due to server lag, and quest competition in starting zones. As for a set time its up to the individuals doing it.

From my experience in beta and calculations I've made, people can expect 4-8 hours per level from 70-80. Yes, that's a wide window, but gear level, individual player skill, and group makeup in the case of instancing all impact the results. Generally as you approach 80, times increase due to higher XP requirements per level.

Oh wow, I wasn't going to address that because Viroxx said what needed to be said, but if you do steady instances all the way up, it's much shorter. We're going to be doing ~3 hours a level pretty much the whole way to 80; a less ideal group not going as fast may do them in 4 or 5 max.

Thanks for the responses guys.
I understand that there are a ton of variables at play when it comes to leveling time, and i guess is should have directed the question more towards your personal experience, and what you thought it took you to level in your instance runs.
At least we now know that we can expect anywhere from 3-8 hours per level depending on group, gear, and skill. It is a big window but it gives us something to shoot for. If we can manage to get close to the 3 hour mark than we know we are doing well and should remain in instances. If we manage to get closer to the 8 hours mark, then we can try the normal questing/grinding to see if it may be a better option for us individually.
This is knowing that it took me 5-8 hours a level going from 60-70 with my newb gear/skills and questing/grinding all the way without instances.
Again, THANKS!

I am aiming for a 5 hour per level, I am glad to know that my estimate is within the experienced parameters.

I did this last night on Blackrock horde side for about the first 3 hours of the instance.
I really do enjoy this but unfortunately I was pugging it(though had t6 geared dps/healer).
The fastest I cleared this instance(usin mah stopwatch), was a speedy 17:50 from first charge to dead dead Ingvarr.
It seemed to get me about 6-7% total of a lvl. Though you can do 3 of them an hour, giving you ~20% an hour or more(if you are pugging with good people or better!).
Its great for an entry dungeon and really easy, you don't even really have to step out of the last dark glare or whatever, just Last stand, shield wall, GG.
