Also try VLC VLC media player - Overview
One more thing to try, the actual codec used: x264 revision 999
Both should work.

Just to note, CCCP is what I use and I haven't found a single video on the intrawebz that I can't play. VLC has similar returns.

Please forgive my noobness. I downloaded the avi file from filefront and it wouldn't play. However, I could hear the music.
I then downloaded and installed CCCP. The speed run video shows up really strange (in Win Media Player v11.0.5721.5230). Its mostly grey scale with spell abilities with incorrect coloring. It looks like there is a paladin in the group that consecrates the groups, but the consecrate ground animation shows up as a turquoise color. Does this mean I need to adjust some of the CCCP settings?

Use Media Player Classic to run the video, or download VLC Player (or BSPlayer)

I know it has been a while, and I don't want to resurrect an old topic, but I was watching this vid yesterday and I realized how high the quality is for such a relatively small file size.
I trolled around a bit, but I couldn't find anywhere that you answered this question. Any chance you could post the programs you used to capture and compress the vid as well as a quick overview of the settings you used. I'm planning to get into some small-scale in-game video capturing, and if I can get it to work out like yours, that would be amazing.
