Hey everyone, just want to make sure i understand what i need for tanking heroics and kara!

From the info i have gathered here 490 def is a must (i have reached 492).
12 k health unbuffed?

What should all other stats be at? Thanks for your time.

some of that depends on the heroics you are tanking. mech is pretty easy as they go, and anyone that meets minimum competency and gearing can tank it successfully black morass on the other hand is a nightmare without a well geared group. the elites were hitting me for 3k or so but that was with little to no karazhan gear. (or was pre-nerf - i havent been since.)

Someone else can tell you better but my understanding is that 490 def/12k health is for bosses in Heroics. Not sure what you can scale it down to for trash.

you should be fine with those numbers, just start off in mech and slave pens and work your way up from there.

Thanks guys for the reply's! Anyone have any recommendations for what dodge, block, parry %s should be. How about armor??
